Driving through Birmingham tonight.. Does anyone know what they have on the growler station currently?
Yeah, check Hop City on facebook. It's usually quite accurate. Plus they now have the small tap sad with some "rares" if you have time to stop and have a drink (no growler fills). They had KBS and Doom on tap there (out of KBS, not sure about Doom).
I'd recommend Hop City over Highland... I've heard bad things about growler fills at Highland, I think they have a history of dirty lines.
Not sure if the Hopslam on tap now is worth the price of they have it in. Being four months out the brew has most definitely fallen off.
Not to thread jack...but seeing Highland Package is in the title I want to post this here....I have heard many shady thing about Highland Package...but still support them...I have never had a bad experience there...and have a very good relationship with Jimmy & David.....with that said, I do believe I purchased a bad/used growler there Sunday.... I had a big box that was suppose to go out today....packed it last night, as I always pack....(im always secure in my packing) my wife was going to put it outside for pick up and it was leaking..... When I opened the box the growler had an almost perfect crack ring on the lower part of the 32oz glass.... Ruining my packing job and throwing my shipment off a week, due to the length it will have to travel..I dont want it holding at a facility over the weekend........ My suggestion would be, if getting growlers from Highland Package make sure it's a NEW glass... Cheers JC
