I think it's crap that they keep advertising when people can't just go and drink all 8 variants

 

Desperately ISO this. I believe cheek smuggling pours is how you earn the baby bird badge.

Any hints on what the other 4 varieties are?

Yes, I believe so. Had something like this at FoBAB last year...it was by far the worst (IMO) of the 4 variants present, with the apply brandy (which doesn't seem to be listed for the 25th celebration) being my favorite.

 

I think he means they keep advertising RARE and all the BCBS variants, when most people will be lucky to try 1 of them. #shitshow says the guy going.

 

Are you going to be able to purchase bottles? I couldn't find anywhere on their site stating whether or not you can.

It's a block party, not a release. You go, you drink, you hang out, you have fun.

The one from FoBAB was Bourbon County Red Wine Barrel. Napa was aged in Merlot barrels with Brett Brux added and is a completely different beer and is one of the best variants I've tried.

 

is this $25 just to get in, then you have to pay for each pour? sorry never been to any beer events so I don't know how they really work

I realize it couldn't be unlimited samples for only $25, but maybe one or two?

 

Thanks for correcting my misinformation! Well that sounds better/more interesting. The Red Wine was rather one-dimensional.

You get a 25 star punch card. 4oz samples are 1 star, 12oz pours are 5 stars.

So you could potentially get 25 4oz samples.

 

Since when has GI sold bottles out of the Fulton facility?

 

Don't know. Never been. That is why I was asking the question.
