I have a couple friends fairly new to craft and they loved boneyard's offerings while down in pdx. I'm never in Seattle anymore and was wondering where I can recommend they go where Boneyard is frequently on. Thanks in advance.

RPM is now Cooper's Aloehouse's house IPA.

Pine Box tries to have Hop Venom on as frequently as possible. Chuck's 85th usually gets it as well, but it doesn't stick around as long because we fill growlers of it.

Thanks for the input, looking mainly for a place for them to get pints they aren't ready for growler fills yet heh

I've never walked into Wurst or Pine Box and not been able to get a pour of Boneyard

RPM is a regular beer at Pies and Pints on 65th just down the block from Mutiny Hall, and I've seen it regularly at the Forza Cofee shop across from Greenlake. Blue Star in Wallingford also always has RPM on tap.

Bob at Wurst always has something on, usually Hop Venom and sometimes more than one thing. When I was at Boneyard last time I was told Wurst and Pine Box were their biggest accounts in Seattle.

I think I recall that Bob said Boneyard may do a Wurst anniversary beer for him.

Is that the reputation there? I have never been (although I work 5 minutes away from it)

Have you had problems with their lines not being clean? I've been in there a few times since they opened, and I haven't had issues. They're supposed to do a good job of making sure their kegs are fresh and cleaning their lines.

I read up on it before they arrived and there were too many reported incidents for me to even entertain the idea of going there. Besides, I tend to steer clear of corporate chain places and support my local small businesses.

I was probably too quick on the trigger there. I've never been and have no intention of ever going. But, seriously, how many taps does this place have? 250? Are you really telling me that a place like this is really investing the time and effort necessary to regularly clean their lines? I am a skeptic.

Also too, with this many different beers on tap, how fresh do you suppose their hoppy beers are? How often are they running through kegs of hoppy beers? Again, I am a skeptic.

I'm not a Yard House fan girl or anything, but seriously? I've also read on the internet that they clean their lines every 28 days. Sure, it's a chain, but I think saying they have dirty lines is unfair.

Oh, boo hoo. I think Yard House/Olive Garden/Red Lobster will survive.

i hope so, i'd hate for them not to survive because someone was spreading unsupported and unfounded beliefs about a business they've never entered out of sheer malice.

Well, if they don't (and I hope they don't), then I think Collins Pub, Elysian Fields, Bambino's Pizzeria, Brave Horse Tavern, Wurst Place, and Pike's Brewing --- all downtown, locally-owned businesses --- will be able to pick up the slack and keep Seattleites and our visitors well-served.
