Was shocked to see Founder's had Bolt Cutter, Backwoods Bastard and Imperial stout just for 1 ticket....The Cocoa mole was quite tasty. Not a bad selection tonight and will be interesting to see if anything changes for tomorrow.

I'd like to know that as well. When I saw Bell's, all they had was a Java Stout, Oberon, Two-Hearted, and Midwestern Pale Ale. Meh.

    Short's had nothing interesting.

Founders was definitely the best booth ... I tried Bolt Cutter, Backwoods, and Doom. Tri-City's Giant Vanilla Slayer was FANTASTIC by the way.

On Friday they had it maybe from 8 or so until close. And like jb123 said, the Black Note/Cocoa Mole cuvee we made was the shit! It honestly almost resembled BA Abraxas IMO!:stuck_out_tongue:

Tri-City makes a lot of below average beers, but their Vanilla Slayer and Regimental Reserve are both pretty nice. Especially Regimental Reserve (Whisky BA Scotch Ale)!

EDIT: Reggie Reserve wasn't at the WEB.

Vanilla Slayer doesn't seem to be listed on this site ... they have Giant Slayer, but the reviews and descriptions aren't at all like what I tasted.

I also have no idea what style it is or the ABV. Damn.

Giant Slayer is the base RIS. They also have Dragon Slayer which is Jack Daniels BA Giant Slayer. Vanilla Slayer (some people call it Unicorn Slayer) is Giant Slayer aged on Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans.

It's a Russian Imperial Stout and the ABV, I believe, is 10%.

I live just down the road from Tri-City. Vanilla Slayer should still be on tap if you want to come up to Bay City. Regimental Reserve should be ready in a month or two.
