No Bell's beer in Mass - wondering if there are any more widely proliferated DIPAS that compare well to Hopslam? Love my Heady Topper, but I'm craving other variations on the style. Cheers.

Founders Double Trouble is not a bad substitute. I'm having one right now, and 2 years ago my brother-in-law and I could not tell the difference in a blind tasting. Lagunitas Sucks also good. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but I don't really think Hopslam stands head and shoulders above the other DIPAs anymore. Hell, I'm happy with my own NJ's Kane Overhead for a DIPA fix. I'll bet Harpoon Leviathan DIPA would do, or fresh Smutty Big A IPA.

I'm not saying it "compares well" but if you can get Headhunter I would do so.

As there any places outside of the brewery that you can get Kane? I'm heading to Vermont in a couple of months to go hiking and I would love toget some more Kane beers. I had some Head High at a bottle share and it was fucking fantastic.

Odells Myrcenary is year round and is a stellar 2IPA very tropical in hops/flavor with citrus and sweet malts

Yeah, I just had a growler of it yesterday. So good. To answer your question, yes, they do send out kegs to stores in NJ with growler stations and to bars. Maybe ask them directly or check out the beer menus website to see where it is. Seems like your best bet is northen NJ but probably still out of the way.

I love Hoptimum, Harpoon Imperial IPA, and 90 Minute. All are definitely available in Mass.

I would say green flash palate wrecker. It's like a beefed up hopslam IMO nice substitute to last you for a year

When Alchemy Hour becomes a regular release (rumored under diff name)--try it!!. I think it one of the closest things to it that I have had.

Another thumbs up for Double Trouble.

Laws yes. I'd take it over most if not all of the higher rated DIPAs on BA.

Hoptimum? Both are decently piney if memory serves.

Do yourself a favor and stick with all of Jack's Abbey offerings. Their hoppy beers are just as good if not better than those that you want to chase. Plus you'll save a small fortune in shipping.

What about Hoptimum? They're both on the sweeter side, near the same abv and price

I would say the same thing about West Sixth IPA.

I think Burton Baton and maybe even Maharaja come close to Hopslam in flavor profile anyway.
