At the Roseville store I was able to pick up

    Logsdon Seizoen Bretta
    Store Espresso RIS
    Bruery Saison De Lente
    FW Parabola

There were beers spread all over the store and I saw a Parabola sitting behind the cheese counter. Apparently it was being held for an employee but they sent me down to the sushi section where the last Parabola was hiding in the back of a small case. As I was checking out the person right behind me in line laid down a few Pliny's and some other beers I hadn't seen on the floor. They were an employee as well so I imagine some of the better beers had been set aside previously.

I made a run to the Sacramento store that night and picked up

    Logsdon Seizoen Bretta
    Stone RIS
    Bruery Sour In The Rye
    Alesmith Speedway Stout

The beer guy at that store said they had more selection in the morning but sold out of the more notable offerings. If the sale happens again it sounds like getting their at opening is definitely the way to go.

Yes it's Wes. Those were the only two bottles I had and they were mine, but I didn't need them. I asked my two co workers cause they love sours and if they didn't want them they would end up on the shelve.

They have the capability to order it but not very often from what I understand, and only a case at a time when they can. I am in the same boat as you, really hard to find. I am also looking for their oak aged bretta with no luck. Their seison bretta is so good though I can't wait to try these!

The answer is, they don't sit on shelves (except maybe the Oaked Bretta). They keep cases from limited releases for these sales.

They do, based on posts here in the Pacific forums in the past. It's just that northern CA Whole Foods and southern CA Whole Foods have different promotional sales schedules.

Too bad I was out of town and missed out on this. Especially those who were able to get Peche and Brett. Would love to try that!

They aren't; I had set most of those aside previously to buy when the next beer sale came around. That haul is from two different stores, btw.

EDIT: Though apparently at least a few stores put Peche N' Brett in the cooler for the sale.

Whaaat? Which whole foods is that? My friend and I were hopping around different whole foods that day and couldn't even find one single bottle of parabola. When we asked the beer buyers, they would just say no.

I was actually pretty surprised to be able to get those - the bottles from this year had been set aside for someone who ended up not wanting them, and I had no idea there was any left from last year until the bottle was handed to me.
