    Hey all...

I'll be staying in downtown Dallas tomorrow night and Fort Worth on Tuesday night. Any suggestions on where to go for a good beer or two, and any specific beers to try while in the area?

    Cheers.

FW - The Live Oak - 1311 Lipscomb St.... Best craft beer bar in town IMO... Great people, great atmosphere and a selection the Flying Saucer wishes they had.

Common Table is my go to choice (profile pic is from their annual Walken Brewsday Tuesday). Had BB3 left on Friday and you can check their drafts/bottles on their website. Craft & Growler updates on Facebook. Most of the breweries are limited to Thursday/Saturday schedules. Moth and Strangeways are solid choices as well.

Beers to try: Peticolas' lineup is solid. Craft & Growler usually has 3 of their 4 offerings. Lakewood is overrated in my mind but they do pretty well. Revolver Blood & Honey is a solid local as well. Cheers

If you don't want to drive, hop on the DART and get off at Fair Park. Craft and Growler is across the street from the station.

    Current taps to try there:
Real Ale The Kraken (MV series - barrel aged Sisyphus barleywine)
All the beers done by Peticolas
    Lakewood Till and Toil saison
Lone Pint 667 Neighbor of the Beast (imo they are the most interesting new brewery in the Houston area right now)

T&P is usually pretty solid. Nice space.

Derp. Read "tomorrow" thinking Tuesday and didn't realize OP was made yesterday.

Ah well. That case, trolley up to Common Table/G-man etc.

Well last night in Dallas was a bust. Ended up not venturing out of the hotel bar. Had a decent Dunkel by Franconia. Had the worst beer ever (blood and honey by Revolver) and a Harpoon IPA that was just
OK. I'll probably hike over to the Saucer in FW in a bit.

Ya that blood and honey doesn't do it for me either. Some people love it, I'll never understand.

Hanging at the Saucer now... Not a bad selection. Have had a Martin House, Peticolas and a really good IS from Victory. Thanks everyone for the input. I've got a few trips back this way this year and I'll be sure to check out the other suggestions.

True on the blood and honey - should have stated it is divisive. Hope your Martin House was the Imperial Texan. Tis a good one.

And BA Temptress is try waaaa better.
