To me, it's better fresh. I still have 4 more 2012s and I throw them in trades as extras. People love them.

The only thing I noticed on the last 2011 I opened last month it was a little less carbonation than fresh. Which with the bigger boozier darker beers I like it to be less carbonated. So I liked it with some age on it.

I agree on the using them in trades. I sent one to my cousin in Denver and he shared it at a party. He told me people were asking him about it all night and it was a huge hit..

I kind of agree with ChirsYarborough, I like my stouts to be a little less bubbly. I feel like the initially consensus was that the 2011 wasn't as full bodied as the 2012, but I liked the 2011 with a year on it much better.

Ok. I wanted to post this in a semi-relevant thread instead of starting a whole new one. I closed at least 3-4 trades today for some big wants/whalez bro, and they're going to be mostly shared for my December graduation bottle share. I'm very excited and happy.

In celebration of this momentous event, and continuation of the beer advocacy/karma train, I'm doing a giveaway for a 375ml of Hanssens Oude Gueuze. Please read the rules carefully this time.

    - Any BA's in TX can enter. I will make every attempt to deliver it in person. However I may need to utilize other means of getting it to you.
    - This one's important: You can NOT have BM'd me for the KBS or the BB1 giveaway. Meaning if you sent me a BM for those, don't BM me for this one. (Nothing personal, you'll be able to get in on future giveaways) So if you won those giveaways, that disqualifies you as well.
    - Winner will be drawn by random # generator, or some other amusing option that is truly randomized.
    - Winner must respond to me by BM, email, pigeon carrier, or message in a bottle within 48 hours, or I will draw a new number.
    - I figure most of you have stopped reading at this point, so let's make it interesting. The subject line of your BM must read "I love and drink Bud Light Lime". If it doesn't, you are disqualified. No exceptions!
    - BM's will be accepted until 8AM Monday 5/20

Cheers and as always, best of luck to everyone! Or one of you at least!

Its sad cause I read every word even though half way through I knew I wasn't eligible... Once again cool to see this! Keep us updated on this graduation bottle share. By that time maybe Ill have something worthy of sharing in your presence...

For sure. I'm going to bring quite a few amazing bottles. Amazing for me at least. Some have been big wants for me, and it will be fun to see which rare beers were worth trading for, and which ones you can "taste the rareness". I'm happy with anyone sharing anything really. I'm happy to share my loot.

This is closed! And I drew lucky #7 this morning! I don't remember who I assigned #7 so I need to go through the messages and I'll BM the winner. Cheers, and there's always next time to those that didn't win!

    Edit: It was FatsBelvadere!

Well, that answers another question. Solid Rock Brewing will be the next Austin brewery to go online.
Here is their website - http://www.solidrockbrewing.com/index.php
They have had a legit website for over a year now, I just assumed they had given up. I guess not.
The Boulevard Test Session is fairly good drinkable session IPA. I had it at their brewery last month and it was something I could sit by a river and drink all day. Now if it is in cans, that is a different thing.
