House Wine in Worthington still has a gallon jug of BA Anastasia.

I'm posting this here in case anyone would want it, but mostly I'd like to know what one could expect from a counter pressure filled growler that's been hanging around for maybe a year or more. I don't recall exactly when these gallons were released, but I'm thinking somewhere around a year or so ago.

Would it be reasonable to think there's still some life in there? Would it be a roll of the dice? Or perhaps best to assume it's a lost cause?

Trade it to me. Worth a shot as long as it hasn't been sitting on a back porch or something.

Keffa may have some insight on how these are holding up.

I remember seeing those around for like $50. I think they came out winter '11-'12 so that would put it at nearly a year and a half. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. They could've released it again since then.

What are they asking for it?

Just a guess, but it's probably still good. Best worst case scenario is that the carb has died. Worst case scenario is that it was stored terribly over time. Would be too many factors for me to pull the trigger, price probably being #1.

I think I had asked some time ago and it was about $50 as you mentioned. Apart from possible age concerns, I was not interested due to the price and the volume. 64 oz growler is perfect for me to drink over a weekend or share with a buddy one night, but 1 gallon changes things.

Maybe someone else here will take you up on that. More than I want to spend on a trade right now.

Maybe ask if they'll discount it? Obviously it isn't moving fast and is a large vessel to be storing cold (I hope cold, that is). It couldn't hurt to say that you know it's 1.5 years old and that you'll buy it for $25 or something.

Last I heard they were still carbonated, but each growler after this long is likely slightly different. Chances are it's still good, but I agree that at this stage in its life full price is more than a bit steep.

I traded for one about 6 months ago and it was still really good. Tasting group got together at a byob pizza place and put down a gallon of it.

Best to share with a large group. Have everyone throw in something to trade ( we sent 8 BCS)....
