where do you buy Unearthly by the 12'er? Or Iniquity for that matter? Just wondering because here in Buffalo, I've never seen it.

They probably carry it at Premier. I don't know how often they produce the superpack (quarterly, monthly, etc.) but I've seen it around Rochester recently.

This is a mixed pack that Mark was talking about, not a 12 pack of any of them individually.

Are you referring to these showing up as part of mixed 12 packs? I can't find any reference to any of these having ever been released as their own, exclusive, 12 packs. Usually, things like Google images will have them from beer fans and from images that had been used for advertising purposes.

I saw the last line of his reply ("Sorry 6packs or cases.") and understood it to indicate that indeed, those brands were 6-pack N.R. or full-case purchase (e.g. in Pennsylvania), only, rather than being available in 12-pack N.R.

I've been poking my nose around the industry long enough and have never known any of those Victory labels to have been packaged in the standard (case-equivalent) 2x12-pack non-returnable format. In fact, seeing as how the brands approximate MSRP has always been between $10 ~ and $15.00 USD it defies conventional retail logic that Victory would hand-package those weighty beers in a 2x12-pack N.R. package. :astonished:

Again, mixed and not single beer 12 backs. But if jesskidden is even stretching to mixed 12 packs, my guess is that there have been very few examples of a US craft beer >7%, being marketed in 12 packs. From this thread, it would seem that it has only been Old Chub, Torpedo and the upcoming Hopsecutioner 12 pack release.

Never seen a 12 pack of cans, but they definitely have 12 packs of bottles around here.
I've been seeing a lot of Lagunitas IPA 12 packs also, although I don't know what abv that beer has offhand.

I thought that was a joke name, until I looked it up. But that isn't a beer. Even their marketing calls it a margarita with only a "twist" of Bud Light Lime. I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Looks like my information is wrong. I should've checked the Schell's website. It's listed as only 6.7%.

    It's not 'light' either, 220 calories per 8 oz. can (330 per 12 oz.'s)

Another Schell's offering: This year's Snowstorm, which was a Biere de Noel, and it was 7.5%. The beer/style changes every year, so it won't available next year.

Maybe I'm missing something, but being from PA where beer distributors have to selll by the case (only bars and bottle shops sell 6 packs or singles) - isn't this just a distinction as to whether a beer is packaged in a single 24 bottle box (with or without internal 6 pack holders) or as two 12 bottle boxes that are held together on a cardboard flat?

In other states are 12 packs really a popular size? With limited shelf space, do stores really stock 6 packs, 12 packs, and cases of the same beer?

The poor man's loon. Just look at that florid and, yet decidedly manly, color.

Another higher abv malternative in 12 pks is Steel Reserve 211 (8.10% ABV).

Craft-wise, Sierra Nevada's 2012 Beer Camp Variety Pack included Oatmeal Stout and Imperial Red, 9% and 8.1% respectively.
