Not yet. I'm estimating 2 weeks out for shipping. Pulled about 10 wants together for me target last night but still need to hit the store.

Since we appear to have a lull in the action, I have for you, substitute porch destruction. All this courtesy of Ben (Homebrewed).

I asked Ben to grab a couple beers for me I could not acquire locally for the BIF. Note, I did say a couple. He did send me the two requested. When I saw this on the porch I thought "What IS that?". Then I saw it was from Ben.

So I took over an hour to open it. If you get your porch destroyed by Ben, I recommend a very sharp knife and some skill with it. There was so much bubble wrap and packing tape I felt like I was filleting fish trying to cut the tape but not the wrap, or beer of course! It was a challenge, but I got it all out eventually. (Apologies for the crapy pic).

I think I may have received every NewGlaris available in a bottle, a Raspberry Tart, a Serendipity, a Pentagram (seriously crazy), Peruvian Morning, CWBBBW, 8 cans of Surly, and I forgot the last one (sorry!). Not pictured is the beer Ben sent for the BIF.

So, whoever Ben targets for the BIF, remember, time and a knife, lift with the legs. :grinning:

The last one on the right is Day Tripper, Andrea!! Haha. But seriously, all I was doing was beering forward the insane generosity I received when I met Andrea in Michigan a few weeks ago. You deserve every damn bit of that destruction young lady!!

I enjoy all the good going on in this BIF and the need for Surly depends at any given time!

You also bought me dinner and beer, so I am calling bull on this excuse :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S. Your porch is not safe.

    Haha...Ok, ok.

P.S. My porch accepts this about itself. We had a talk.

Well it looks like the growth curve and average shipping date that I predicted in the past is holding out perfectly for the next shipment! I cant wait til Egad has to receive basically a pallet of brews come next year!

While we're waiting for the next hint, what beer in your fridge right now are you most excited to drink? I've got a fresh heady that I plan on drinking soon and then I'm going to try to propagate the Conan yeast for my next brew. Should be a fun adventure.

    Note to all:

Purchase a bag of rubberbands and put the tape away. Seriously. Tape is for closing boxes up. If you use rubberbands to secure your bubblewrap to your bottles, your recipient can reuse the bubblewrap is it has no chance of ripping, and they can certainly reuse the rubberbands. Requiring the use of an exacto knife to unwrap bottles is inefficient in the time it takes to open shit up, and in the ability to reuse packing material. Also...you will save yourself sooo much time when packing. Give it a try. Your trading partner will love you for it. YOU...will love you for it. Tape's the worst thing to ever happen to anything inside a box of beer, aside from using the waterproof electrical stuff to secure bottle caps/corks.

I had a guy send me a box last week that literally took me 45 minutes to open. I'm all about sending a box safely and securely...but it can be done without the use of a roll and a half of tape. lol If you MUST tape, use the blue painters tape. It comes right off without ripping the bubble wrap or requiring a blade.

Real shame my porch wasn't crushed prior to my trip to Vermont this weekend. Vermont beer's all about the hops and it just doesn't keep long enough to hang onto for weeks at a time.

24 cases of Heady Topper, 89 growlers, and 48 750mL bottles, and a Toyota Tacoma rental later... My tab at the Alchemist for Heady came in at just under $2000, the tab at Hill Farmstead about the same. None of it's even mine. Super mule. I did get some stuff for myself at the Hunger Mountain Co-op. They had some nice Logsdon and Ale Apothecary stuff.

No need for apologies. Whoever gets my box will get it with whatever materials I have. Most likely taped. I'm more concerned about protecting a 20 dollar beer than I am a 5 cent piece of bubble wrap.
