Pretty sure this will be a brewery only release.

I don't think so. Jeff said that this was going to be bottled in about the same amount as Funk Metal (he gave a number but I don't remember and now that thread is gone :slight_frown: )

I'd think they'd distribute some of it at least. Put me down for a case if I can swing it!

200 cases. 12 bottles per case. With some put aside for special events. If JK want to do a brewery only release that's cool. It not like all the limiteds with be brewery only release, probably one or two very special ones. I also read on Facebook that it wouldn't be ready for 20 months?! Maybe I read that wrong. I hope I did.

I wouldn't think Jeff would tease us that long. Seems like when they make another post about a new beer, it takes 1-2 months to hit the market.

I think he was referring to the coolship. Sounds like they want to keep it in oak for 24 months.

That's what it appears like to me also. They may hold off until it can be sold at the brewery.

In that case, here's to hoping I can get to JK for this release.

If that's the case, they'll be holding on to it until September 1st, 2013 (assuming Perry signs the bill into law). Maybe they'll release it at Funk N Sour Fest 3?

Atrial Rubicite is bottled, and the beer itself is ready for release. I've been drinking it for a few weeks now. The Beerists just reviewed it (http://thebeerists.com/the-beerists-59-barrel-aged-mix/). We still need label approval and printing, which should take about four or five more weeks. We hope by the time label approval and printing is complete, Texas law will have changed and we'll have our brewpub license. If this plays out, a brewery release on a Saturday in July looks likely. We'll announce the date of the brewery release as far in advance as possible, assuming the law changes.

Whether Atrial Rubicite Batch 1 gets distributed beyond our brewery remains to be seen. We have approximately 2,400 bottles available. To me, that seems like a lot of bottles to sell just at our brewery, but we've never had a bottle release before at Jester King, so we'll have to see.

The reference on Facebook about 20 more months was in regard to our coolship beer, and that's just a guess at this point.

Because the bills passed the legislature with a 2/3 majority, they'll take effect as soon as they're signed.

I'll definitely make time for the release at the brewery. I will also hound Virtuoso to find out where and when it will be delivered ;-)

This is the most excited I have ever been about a Texas release; and by far. I will do everything I can to make it to the brewery and get a case. I'm hoping it will be cheaper now that the middle man is cut out too.

Thanks for posting that. That's my show. I've had the beer on 3 occasions. If you guys have any questions about the experience of tasting/drinking it, ask.

That said, I have no details on quantity, production, release, etc.

As I said on the episode, I'm far more impressed than I expected to be (and my expectations were pretty high).

Oh, and the unlabeled 500ml bottle in the photo on the podcast page is the one the beer came in. Super sexy bottle.
