There was an area where Mikkeller, Pizza Port, and others were set up that was covered, but mostly no shade.

Was wondering this too. Watching the video from last year it seemed nice and uncrowded as people got into their groove, but I've gotta think they might have upped the capacity a tad after a very successful first run. No clues from my Eventbrite tickets as sometimes the ticket number appears on the receipt. I bought inside of two minutes when they went on sale, though. (easiest 2am wake-up call ever, btw)

Yeah, I thought Surly filled out the last row a week or two ago.

Inside of the red area was where you could go last year, I expect the area to be the same this year. There is some shade, and there is also an open air building. Not a lot of shade, but it exists.

Not until the day before. A few will leak prior but the day before the event Firestone will start listing the brews on their social media pages.

No shade available, ditch your tickets now! Save yourself the fury of sunlight!

How are people being able to scalp these? Isn't their name on the actual ticket and ID's will de checked at the entrance? Also says not transferable...

    Salud!

I bought 2 tickets (one for me, one for my wife). They both have my name on them. How do they monitor that?

Also, what if I had bought a few for my buddies online in February? There wasn't a spot on the form to put names except the credit card holder.

No idea what they will be doing at this event, but to answer this from what I have seen at other similar events.

As long as the person who bought the tickets, so the name on the ticket(s), is checking in with all the other people it is all fine. In other words all people check in at the same time and all is good, again just what I have seen at similar events.

Last year they didn't name match tickets to IDs. I had tickets with someone I didn't know and got in no problem.

I emailed the Firestone Event's Manager about two weeks ago to ask about that since I am in the process of buying a ticket off of someone and she replied back and said to have the person that is selling you the ticket photo copy their id along with a note stating that they were selling you the ticket and everything should be good when you present them the ticket the day of the event.

Yeah because sending a random stranger a copy of your ID is a great idea.

I thought the same thing and while it doesn't seem like a very good idea I'm just relaying what I was told.

With how many folks they need to get in the doors, I would assume that the whole ID checking against the small printed name on the ticket gets ignored. More importantly about the "ID at the door" check is to make sure you're of drinking age.

Is anyone coming up from San Diego who can fill some PP, Societe, or and/or Alpine growlers for my buddies and me at the house we're renting? You will be repaid in cash and copious whales. BM me for details.
