On tap in the Twin Cities List

Weird. Mango Mama wasn't on the board. Russian Roulette went into my tummy, though. Wow. Amazing beer.

 

Had Mango on tap on May 7th when my wife and I went before a concert. Wasn't a good batch IMO.

 

Town Hall Tap had Mango Mama today! 'Twas a good batch.

This is about the third time I've stumbled ass-backward into this but Doom is on at Pracna. I'm seriously starting to feel ashamed that I was part of that charade at Butcher and the Boar.

 

Anything else interesting on at Pracna?

 

I know it's a couple days past its prime, but it appears Enjoy By is still on. Poor beer, no one's going to want to drink it now that it's expired.

Stopped by Steel Toe last night and they still had BA Wee Heavy pouring.

 

Citra Hop Dry Hopped Epic Brainless Belgian IPA Firkin tonight @ New Bohemia $4/10oz pour.

 

Roulette kicked ~5:30. Did not make it for one more. Stuff was so amazing.

 

It was gone Friday the 17th. Sometimes it takes a few days for our current beer menus to be uploaded to our website.

 

Happy Gnome has 2012 Dissident on their bottle list right now, $25. Not a bad way to drown my sorrows since i have officially entered my 4th decade on this here planet.

This thread goes back to 8/12 and I see that it was started with a noble effort to get people to enter things on a google doc. I think that it ended up being a pretty good resource for consumers, bars and distributors to throw in beers that they saw on tap, had on tap or knew were coming on tap. I think that having a regular monthly thread like this going would be a pretty nice resource for many of us. It would be nice to get this cleaned up, so I am just going to post a new thread using basically the same title, only including "June," on the 1st and hopefully a new thread starting on July 1st, etc.

It would be nice to have one thread in the Midwest forum that focused more specifically to what is on tap, than the usual type of thread that may be beer centric and then have people across hundreds of miles and multiple states all talking about where they found it.

This is just an FYI post, as this is obviously an open forum and people will either gravitate toward doing this or they won't, but I thought that as we approach ten pages and the focus of the thread has shifted from it's original intent, that having simple, monthly threads would make a lot more sense.

 

I love this thread. A monthly "on tap in the twin cities" thread would be awesome.

I check this one pretty regularly.

And like you said, it's up to the rest of us to keep everyone informed of all the great tap offerings around our community.
I would have never known of the Founders event tonight @ 3 Squares (right in my backyard) had MNPikey not posted it (different thread - thanks all the same!).

I liked the idea that you had, as well. In fact, as long as the upkeep was in somebody else's hands, I would actually prefer it, except that the user contributions seemed to default to thread entries. And if you feel so inclined, please take over doing a monthly thread on here. The reason that I brought it up is because I saw that we were approaching ten pages and how long it had been going, etc. and sometimes moderators will suddenly shut down threads like this just because they have drifted so far off course for so long. Also, the relevance is easily something that can be refreshed each month. It just seems to me that the TC metro area needs its own thread for such contributions and your original thread seemed to organically become that. I would just rather have a strategy for a monthly post now, rather than a moderator shut down of the current thread.

 

It's just a thread about recent tap sightings.
I don't think the mods will shut it down, unless we get off topic and keep it simply what it is.

Don't overthink. This thread rocks. It works. If it gets shut down, another will appear.
