IS that Bruery glass for me? Thanks for the invite

Im assuming that's the previous release and I don't have to drive down to SE today. Or do I?

I love how they dangle beers like bourbonic in front of our noses for months on end, slowly pushing the release backwards.

You will buy these other 6, probably overpriced, beers that you've already had your fill of at the Barrel House or else - No Bourbonic For You!

Belmont Station did that with the Eclipse beer...You had to buy a certain number of the regulars in order to purchase the Grand Cru :astonished:

No worries, bourbonic is gross and the other ones are great

I don't mind cascade keeping it the same. Great sushi stays the same, you order your steak cooked medium rare, time and time again. The Bottleworks release was a change up in taste I thought though. Strawberry, kreik, burbonic, vlad are stellar IMO

Since I haven't seen it posted yet, Cascade is releasing 2012 Apricot and 2011 Elderberry today. Both are $20, which is pretty good. I think Apricot used to be a couple dollars cheaper, but it doesn't seem to be an extreme markup. Strawberry and Kriek are coming out next week for the same price. The last few really hurt the wallet and kept me to buying just enough to keep friends happy, so a glut of $20 releases is pretty welcome!

Hopefully some of the Strawberry sees distribution up in Seattle.

If anyone isn't buying all 6 bottles or already got some yesterday and thinking of going to get more, BM me
Have an upcoming Cascade tasting and want to be the cool kid that brings this.
Can send Alpine growlers or Societe growlers, or if there is anything else you are looking for.

Dude, I wouldn't worry too much. If this is like any other of the Cascade "pub only" releases it'll be around for 2-3 months

Not too worried about them selling out, more worried if I can get some bottles here before the 17th of this month.

Looks like the rest of the country (areas that allow shipping beer there, anyway) feels just fine. From FB:

"Cascade Brewing set a record yesterday - Strawberry & Kriek were released at 4:30 and by 6:30 we had over 100 orders. Thanks for supporting us!"

As long as they try to create beers outside of their own formulaic, proprietary flavor profile I will continue to support their pricing. Can't justify paying $30 a bottle if the main variance in flavor is a different fruit base. I want to see them continue to make the fruit variant beers at the $20 price point and produce more unique beers for the $30 price point. They really are one of the best, if not the best, sour beer makers in the US. I have no problem paying for quality.

I had Vlad several times at a place in Seattle for 35. To me it is worth the price since I have gotten now enjoyment out if it than your typical Bordeaux for 100 bucks plus
