Yeah my bad, I saw in to and not in from. But since he is flying into LA I would say start the trip up early, just cruise up the 101 and hit up the Barrel Works on the way up.

Believe it or not some of us visit Paso when there isn't even a beer festival going on. It's a big wine and food destination.

I've never had that happen. Would be a first. Ice in the jockey box, ice in the tub with the keg = just fine. They'll be using both, just like last year.

Good to hear. It was gross (to me) at Barleywine Fest at Toronado this year.

you are preaching to the choir on this one. Those 2 very rarely see the light of day, a more realistic hope would be Moe's Bender and or Diminished Seviin or something else.

And being from Paso I can't even find what half of them are. Very interesting.

No, I think it's just that Ballast Point BA stuff is wildly divisive. For spirits they use their own barrels, and every single one I've had just tastes like straight-up acetone to me. They've all been so terrible thinking about it literally makes me angry. But then all my friends love them and rave about how good they are. I think it's just one of those beers.
