There was enough BADL last year to get a couple of glasses if one wanted to, and it was the booth with the longest line. I can't remember when it blew, but it seemed like a couple hours after opening.

Based on last year, you're fine to hold off. But I don't know if they sold more tickets this year or not.

well last year i remember a mad dash for the BAVDL, which then miraculously transformed into a fairly long but fast-moving line. the keg lasted maybe an hour or two, i think. you don't need to kamikaze charge for whatever beer you most want, but I'd make sure to check off the big ones on the earlier side, especially since i imagine there will be even more people this year.

Beyond which, it's smarter to drink the high-gravity beers first. It's much easier to prevent yourself from getting brutally wasted if you don't backload several hours of drinking with pours of multiple 15% beers...

Bell's Raspberry Wild One (WOOT!) and Golden Road Cabrillo Kolsch (expect a huge line for this one, folks)

    Raspberry Wild One sounds delicious!

Seriously. Wild One was a big highlight for me last year, so I'm pretty psyched about this.

Really hope we get the pocket booklet like last year that listed all the breweries, beers, tent numbers, map and space for notes.

I would assume so. It was touches like that (and the plate that you can hang a glass off of) that really took it beyond a great beer festival to the best on the planet.

The map is on their app. It is free and useful.

Also if you go to each brewery they put a star on the map too. I like it. I have an android phone and can zoom no problems.
