Since I plan on bringing some spirits, I might as well bring some bacon too.

I have two packages left of my home cured and smoked beer bacon. Its bacon but while I was curing it, i rubbed it with cascade hops and some malt extract. Its weird. Tastes of bacon then bam, hops.

I'm looking forward to the weekend!

I can attest that this bacon is awesome! Very unique. Just like adam says, you get this crazy hop bitterness on the finish. Delicious!

Just a few reminders from Joe's first post that I do not want people to forget:

    1. Starts at 1pm. I'll probably be there a little bit before.

    2. BYOG Bring your own glass. We will not be using the bar's glassware so as to save them from extra work.

    3. Food order start at 3pm. Until then I'm going to bring some crackers/bread/pretzels. I'll probably bring a gallon jug of water too.

    4. Carry in and Carry out. Be respectful of the bar. We are responsible for cleaning up afterwards. Do not leave empties for others to clean up.

Overall let's have a great time. Ideally, we'd like to do this every few months. Can't wait to see everybody!

It would be a good idea for everyone to bring a couple bottles or a gallon of water for themselves or to share for rinsing and staying hydrated. It's going to be a hot day and I don't know what the Krown's cooling situation will be like that day.

Guess someone will have to bring a bottle of Rogue Maple Bacon beer to go along with the Bacon  By the way, there is a convenience store across the street from Monty's where you can buy water if needed.

Looking at the list of what people are bringing and thinking about what I can contribute... I see Jeff K is bringing two BA Blackout Stouts from 2012... I can bring two from 2013 for a side by side comparison. Apart from that I can bring maybe a Sour in the Rye? Picked it up in Saratoga last weekend and haven't seen The Bruery anywhere in Rochester. Would anybody be interested in that? Can even bring a Gandhi or two to do a side by side with Joe R's Heady... I know that's pretty easy to obtain, just don't want to show up with not enough to offer. This will be my first bottle share and I am very excited!

Bring water!!! Always a good idea.

At Dark Lord Day in 2007 the most popular guy at the tables brought a case of water.

Line's already forming, but their will either be enough to go around for those who show up late (voodoo) or everyone at the front of the line will leave with multiple cases and the back will get shut out (ithaca).

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
