I'm in Marietta, PA right now at a friends house. I had an amazing home made pasta carbonara dinner and brought some great Ohio brews to drink. So far, great time and I haven't even gone to Philly yet. I'm heading there tomorrow at noon. I feel like a kid again and it's Christmas Eve. It's going to be hard to fall asleep.

Bought my tickets for that Founders event at World Cafe. I hope it will be fun because I might not get a chance to see Tired Hands that Sunday due to it. Gnight fellow BAs, may the PBW be with you!

Anyone ever do that "Hammer Of the Gods" thing? Seems like a decent way to bounce around without having to find parking or cabs

Anyone going to Devil's Den tonight? I plan on it, but I'm wondering when to get there because I assume it'll be crazy.

I'll be heading over. Definitely aiming to get there early. I don't know what the means, yet. DMV will dictate what time I can get there. I love that I have to go to the DMV on my birthday, but it will definitely help me get ready for a beer or eight.

Today will definitely be an event-packed day. So many good events that can easily be linked together by SEPTA.

-Local 44 is hosting Half Acre and Perennial from 4-6, the daft list is finally up in their site.(Galactic Daisy, Fantastic Voyage)
-Bella Vista's Tap Takeover at Devil's Den is from 7-9...don't have to mention how solid that list is.
-Barcade's kickoff tap list is also decent, but I will be upstairs at Johnny Brenda's watching Holy Other and Mount Kimbie. Best way to end the first day of beer week. Any fan of electronic music is strongly urged to check these two artists out.

Just so you know, that Mount Kimbie show is at Union Transfer. I know because I'm looking at my tickets right now, haha.

Shit, thanks man. I saw Holy Other at JB's a few months ago, I made the wrong assumption he was playing there again. Want to meet up for a bier?

Also, Lagunitas Waldo @ SPTR starting at 4:20. Legalize it.

I'll be there. I plan on getting there a bit early (might go to SPTR for Waldo before), then taking off after a few for Half Acre @ Perch Pub or Shangy's @ Cambridge. Have a few other places in mind as well in case it's too ludicrously crowded for me (translation: my fiancee) to take.

I was at that show too. Looking forward to seeing them again tonight. Meeting up for a beer might be in the cards. Depends when I get there though. Where are you gonna be?

Me too (bought a ticket). I know it's only $10, but I'm not entirely happy that I have to pay a cover in order to purchase what I'm certain will be some pretty expensive beers anyway (yes, I know the $10 also allows me to hear the World Cafe house band). Oh well, hopefully it will be worth it...

Ill be at Devil's Den from 6:00-8:30, then taking the Broad St. Line up north to the show. Shoot me a BM later on, we could always chat at Union Transfer.

It would be worth it if there were a limited amount of tickets to ensure it's not a madhouse. Or if enough people are turned off by the price that it will limit turnout.

are the bottles at the world cafe live founders event allowed to be taken home, or do they have to be consumed? Would love to nab a blushing monk or cbs but besides that wouldn't bother going

My thought as well. Not sure how realistic that is, but it would be nice if it works out that way. I'm assuming there is some limit on tickets available, though the website makes no mention of that.

Shrug. It is only $10, so I figured it was worth taking a chance on this. Especially as we don't get a whole lot of Founders stuff back in Oregon, and I kind of miss their beers. :-)
