Eulogy event was awesome. Met some great people. I wish I had my business cards with me instead of being handed a bunch. Amazing line up. Enjoyed my time. I loved the atmosphere of Eulogy and Monk's. awesome places. I got about 12 bottles to bring home. I'm happy, Capones is a great bottle shop. Matt rocks.

Honestly, I might cry tonight. This has been an amazing time. Got to try a lot of beer I've never dreamed of having... Cantillon, CBS, PtE... Peace out Philadelphia. I'm going to miss this.

I just went back and read a few things. I'm glad I didn't go to the Funky Buddha event at DD. After the Abraxas fiasco and the time change I said fuck it. Not worth my time. I'm glad I didn't go because I had the entire evening for Eulogy which was better anyways.

Based on the count and bottle limits this time, I think folks should easily get some. A minimum of 220 people is the biggest so far and the release attendance has varied.

I'm glad you had a great time at Eulogy... those guys put together some killer events this year... But you're going to moan about the FB being pushed back an hour so we could give the kegs, which came in THAT MORNING, more time to chill and settle? Excellent. Next time we'll just make sure everything is warm so it all pours like shit and more folks can have something to complain about.

No sarcasm at all. I am happy to say that I have not attended one PBW event so far. Jammed places with SOME people there simply to chug and tick makes me happy to stay away. I think that some places should make their events a ticketed event to dial back the madness somewhat. When I hear stories like the one that you share, I realize I am infinitely happier sitting on the deck enjoying something out of my cellar with my wife or a friend or two. I don't need to try EVERYTHING just for the sake of telling people that I was one of the "lucky" who showed up two hours before tap time to be jammed into a place with the mission of shotgunning as many FB beers before the taps ran dry. I'll hit Monks or Capones for a relaxed lunch soon and I'm sure I'll find something in a glass to make me happy.

If you are a representative of DD you are proving everyone's point that customer service is an ancient art form at Devil's Den. Between the fiasco on Friday and apparently another cluster of an event yesterday. I think a lot of people will avoid Devil's Den in the future. I know for me, I wanted to attend the FB event yesterday and had plans of doing just that, but after the major mishap on Friday night I decided not to frequent Devils Den in the future. Whether there is an event or not. I'm sure I'm not the only one! Between your response and the managers response for the issues on Friday it's clear you guys should just stay off the internet and focus more on providing accurate information to your patrons.

I don't work for Devil's Den. How was the event 'a cluster' yesterday? There was plenty of room to move around or belly up to the bar to order multiple beers and get them in a timely manner. Other than the Pineapple Berliner pouring a little foamy, I'd say things went off without a hitch.

events at prohibition and jose pistolas i went to last night were both well run, didn't trek down to DD as the FB brews kicked too fast.. talked with a few people who where there then went to Jose said the event went along fine but they didn't like the FB brews.. personal preference as others seem to enjoy them. Either way, wish FB would have sent up more beer but still cool they showed up.

I'll just wait till i can get down to florida to try their stuff.

Blew my mind that more people were ordering two hearted at Prohibition for the bells event, black note was still going when i left at 7, 3 hrs after they tapped it. Some cool heavy metal music being played too.

I've been to three events this week. Went to the opening gig at Devil's Den. It was crowded and like, 103 degrees inside, but I had no trouble drinking plenty of the Humidor Peach Jai Alai and was able to try the Fauxbraxas from a friend. Went to Memphis the next day and that wasn't bad at all. Good food, good service, and all the BA Abraxas you could hope for. Went to Tired Hands and that was mad crowded, and hot. The rest of the time we've been bottle sharing and that's really been the best part. The crowds can start to be a bit much after going to a few well attended events.

Steve said he's been present for some of your bottle shares. "Insane" is the word he used.

I dunno about "insane." I mean...you've been to one. They're fairly extensive...and they last forever...and there's usually a lot of high gravity shit involved but...they're fun and manageable. Hey man...we have a lineup of shit from Block 15, Upright, Cascade and Ale Apothecary that we should be addressing tomorrow evening. Right up your alley. Shit with barely any alcohol in it (less than 10%, mostly). Feel free to come on by. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have to admit to not having heard of two of those. Thanks for the invite, but I'm planning on hitting Teresa's for the De la Senne event tomorrow. PBW has been light this year for me. Did get into town Saturday and Monday and had all kinds of fun, but except for Teresa's, it looks like that's all this year unless I get back from Jersey early on Sunday.

Yes, and you youngsters set a blistering pace. I had to cut out early that day, and I did make the concert, though now I can't remember who it was.
