Oh, so Magic Hat is based in Costa Rica, and is brewed there also?

My West 6th sticker with the star just went up in ebay value from 50 cents to $1.23.

Magic Hat is NOT Costa Rican.

Would you say the same nonsense about A-B being Belgian just because they were bought by InBev?

    Grow up.

I'm glad that when West 6th decided that rather than complying in order to go 'viral' through the use of libel and untruths, they lost the battle on multiple fronts. Good riddance.

I didnt say anything about brewed. Toyota makes cars in KY, they are still a Japanese company though.

The HQ for Florida Ice and Farm is in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Florida Ice and Farm owns Cerveceria Costa Rica who owns North American Breweries who owns the Sheinhardt Wig Company who owns Magic Hat.

For a second, I thought you were being xenophobic. Jumped the gun on that one.

I dont see what the big deal is about acknowledging foreign ownership of companies. Ive never implied, nor never would, that that is a BAD thing. Ive never been a "buy American" (for any product) kind of guy. I mean, all else being equal, I would, but its not a big deal to me.

But a company HQed in Costa Rica is a Costa Rican company.

Thats because you are an ass.

And me too, I think thats how that saying goes.

Edit: And why would saying it about Bud too make me more or less xenophobic?

All of which means they own a VERMONT company. Get over it.

The logos are so different. How would you confuse them?

But they still brew in VT..and also in Rochester, NY.

When they start brewing in Costa Rica, then such an argument will have merit.

They should have placed a middle finger in the spot recently vacated by the star.

Why? Nothing would say "petty", "childish" and "unprofessional" more than such a thing.

At least you used to like Roxy Rolles. My favorite MH brew along with Jinx. Love the simcoe in Roxy.

But thats about all the credit i will give you. Not drinking beer because two companies are having a copywrite dispute. What a joke. You should stop drinking coke, stop using computers running Windows and stop driving cars or even riding bikes made by a larger company.

My point is these things happen all the time. Its part of capitalism. Who gives a fuck.

Don't think of the confusion from the standpoint of somebody who drools over beer logos all day. Think about the confusion from the standpoint of somebody who mostly drinks BMC and has the occasional "dark beer". It's really not that different. Same symbol on the logo, similar font, same color schemes in packaging, and although you might disagree but when you're looking at a bunch of taps or cans it's not that hard to mistake a nine for a six, again, if you are looking at these logos through the eyes of somebody who is not as passionate about beer as you are.

Thanks for that. I was in the camp saying, They look nothing alike! But what you said makes sense as far as what an attorney would argue.

Well I have stopped drinking Coke and I don't ride a bicycle or a motorcycle. The other two I can't stop. I was trying to make the point that there was alot of time and money wasted over litigation that wasn't even necessary. I don't see how anybody could confuse the logos set out in the article and with West Sixth being a very small enterprise, what was Magic Hat worrying about?
