im going to be brewing an imperial stout this weekend (my first recipe on my own without a kit) that will be aging until early next year, i need to get a few more fermenters/carboys so that i can continue brewing while that one is going though, i have a couple other ideas in the works right now as well

I'm probably going to brew an IPA. It's just gotten too hard to find IPAs I like on anything resembling a consistent basis. I have a pound of Citra on the way, but it won't get here for another week, so I'll save my Zombie Dust clone for another data. Will use some NZ hops if possible, aiming for a tropical profile, then I'll save the yeast cake for a mixed ferment saison with brett the following weekend.

Lack of signifcant banana character. But if you mean "what was the cause?", it beats me.

Brewing Sunday at South Mountain with BA doomXsaloon, not sure what brewmaster Ken has planned. Then again on Wed here, doing an American Porter or something else to use up extra roasted and crystal malts and the mason jar of English AleI have left over. Vanilla Porter sounds good.

English style IPA with US 2-row, Crisp amber, and Weyermann Munich II (just to keep it interesting), mostly First Gold hops, and WLP002 English Ale yeast. Shooting for something a bit sessionable, as OG target is 1.055.

Trying my hand at some rice wine. So not really brewing but fermenting something. I do need to keg my Bastonge Blonde Ale, this may be a quick turner as it tastes awesome after 10 days and is dropped clear.

Brewing my second beer, my first all grain batch. Going to brew a chocolate, coffee, brown ale. Kinda like a Surly Bender. I'm using some kiln coffee and some oats. Using London Ale 1318 as my yeast. Got the yeast starter going, and will be firing up the burners tomorrow!!!

I'm brewing, well I am not sure how to categorize. Hoppy low ABV tripel? Belgian Pale? I dunno. I have WLP 510, two oz of Liberty and Amarillo, and so I bought some Caravienna and Belgian 2 Row... ummm this is the first time I am not sure what I am doing, but I am doing it anyways. Usually I base a recipe of something from Brewing Classic Recipes or something online and proven.

Edit: I also have some wheat I thought about throwing in there, and obviously can throw in some table sugar.

kegged 8.5 gallons of a very drinkable beer! 24 lb grain bill. 10lbs pilsner,10 lbs vienna, 4 lbs acid malt. used pacific jade and pacifica at different times and used some saved yeast from many jars!!! I'm in love with the taste! Your showing your pal how to brew, That's awesome! The more people that can do it the better!

Have no real info to add, but water profile seems not to be a variable with which you've experimented?

Sounds like an Orval clone. For 6 gallons I use 13 lbs of base, 1 lb caravienne, .125 special B, 1 lb table sugar.
Hops are .83 oz centennial 60/ .83 styrian goldings 15/ .83 styrian goldings 1 min. Then 2 drops of Brett brux in each 12 oz bottle just before the cap goes on.

Do you ever have a problem with bottles going boom? I notice Oval uses some pretty heavy duty bottles.
