Very true, distro dropped the ball on these Stone bottles, with Dayman, IRS, Espresso IRS and the last Enjoy By (which arrived 1-week later than they should have)... luckily they all hit NYC and was able to grab them

If your expectations were for something in the league of Wake and Bake, forget it. I think that the espresso IRS is solid (although we get ripped off on it at around $10 a bomber in MN), but Wake and Bake is about as good as it gets as far as imperial coffee stouts.

My thoughts exactly on this. I've only had WnB twice but IMO it's in another league. The Stone Espresso IRS is very good though, especially for a $5.99 bomber. I liked it much better than Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout.

WnB is Coffee Oatmeal Stout and Espresso IRS is a Coffee Russian Imperial, while similar, I have a tough time comparing to 2, but I see what you guys are saying (not sure i agree though)

If anyone is still looking in the Twin Cities metro, Firehouse Liquor in Northfield has it for $8.99. I know it's kind of a drive, but it's worth it! I just had my first the other night; definitely right up there with FBS and V @ S.

Surprised to hear those high prices. I picked up one for $4.29 in St. Louis.

Picked up two tonight. Just cracked one at what must be the perfect temperature because I have no idea what you naysayers are prattling on about. The texture is marvalous. The flavors are huge. The bitterness is nearly overwhelming. I just might let the other one settle for a while. Lose a bit of hop intensity and this might be bangin'.

Where? I've never seen any of the Stone bombers around here that cheap.

Cracked one open on a whim last night- deliciously creamy and tastes like straight up black espresso with some background malt sweetness. Its like a straight up shot of espresso with a little bit of sweet cream. I love drinking my coffee black and espresso shots, so I can see why people would find it a bit too much

Really? I found it almost overwhelmingly sweet. Maybe I drank it too cold. I do like to over-refrigerate my brews though.
