And what is the method to your madness? I found myself doing it immediately after I got into the hobby two and a half years ago. I started saving all the different caps and designs that came across my path; like, say, I have several Stone caps because of the different gargoyle (it is a gargoyle right?) designs and whatnot and even the ones with quotes because they're all different. I won't save Sierra Nevada (or whoevers) caps just because they're a different color, but I do have a Hoptimum cap because it's a unique design, etc etc. I guess it's just the collectible hobbyist in me. I even save my concert tickets and stuff like that as well. I'm not a hoarder but I may have a problem. Heh.

I do this. I have one jar for "unique caps" and then another jar where double + go in. I make the uniques into magnets and put on my fridge..the freezer is almost covered at this point.

I have coffee cans full of em. I keep thinking I am going to use them to build a bar top, put them under plexiglass and make a real cool conversation starter of a bar. But all I seem to accomplish is a lot of planning and collecting caps! I always have a coffee can on top of the beer fridge.

I have a HUGE bag of craft beer caps that I have been saving for years. To be ironic, I was going to give them to Miller's promotion bottle caps for troops. Any body where I can drop off about half paper shopping bag's worth of caps?

Admit it, you're a hoarder--welcome to the club. Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month.
I've got a couple hundred caps on magnets stuck to metal banding outlining the bar. I'm small time compared to some of the people out there.

I've got a half gallon jar full and another one filling. I'm not sure how many bottle cops it's going to take to cover a plastic light up nativity, but I will find out.

I started in the 90s. I'm getting close to 1,700 now, all different. I always say I'm going to figure out a way to display them, but it never happens.

I have been saving bottle caps (and concert tickets) for as as long as I can remember, way before I was a beer advocate. I just have a coffee can full of the unique bottled beers that I've enjoyed. I used to dump it out and reminisce about past beers, but it's been a long time since I have done that....maybe I'll do it now.

If anything I like to think I'm preparing for the Fallout future where bottle caps become currency. Though most likely it's probably a combination of having collected stuff like comics and Magic the Gathering cards for two decades now. I guess I see it as putting memories in a jar, hence the concert tickets too. Thankfully, though, I've learned to rein it in or else I'd have coffee cans of caps myself, instead of just a jar with probably, eh, 120ish unique caps in it. I'm glad I'm not alone here though. Cue the "one of us one of us!" Chant from "Freaks."

I've been saving beer bottle caps since 1995. My favorite I think seems to be the Ayinger, with the pretty country setting on it with 3 people drinking beer at the table in the yard.

I noticed several that are no longer being made or I haven't seen in a long time. New Amsterdam out of NY? There was a beer they made that I remember really liking about 10-15 years ago.

My roommate and I keep them in a large paper bag because we believe in post-apocalyptic America they may be traded as currency.

like most other posters here, I save unique caps from breweries. if it is different in any possible way from another in the jar, in it goes.

my fiancé couldn't be happier I have chose to do this for the last couple years.

Yeah, I'm doing it, but not for as long as some of you guys. I started because I was fascinated by the different designs and logos. My plan is to hammer them into a section of a large hemlock tree that came down on my property during Sandy. I'll spell out some witty message or welcome (it's a large diameter tree) and when some of my friends see it, they will be amazed that there are more than 10 beers in the world.

Saving all of them- hoping to be able to build a sweet coffee table or bar surface in whatever inevitable man cave I end up having in the future. From what I understand, I'm a long, long way from being able to do so, though- these kinds of projects take a LOT more bottle caps than one would think.

Is that a Chicago Cubs cap? Is it beer? I would sure love one, despite being a Giants fan!

The Cubs cap was from an Old Style, which you don't really see in bottles that often. Was at a backyard BBQ a few years back and someone had those.

I've been collecting them for a few years. Made one small tabletop under epoxy, plan to do more, but I don't know what yet.
