There are tons and tons of new and great IPA's coming from cities all over the U.S. and abroad but if you could pick an IPA capital, what city would it be? Why? What IPA's have you had from this city?

I'll be the first to say Greensboro, VT.

    Why? HF

Haven't even had an IPA from them, only HF beer I've had was Damon

I'll cheat a little and say Waterbury, VT instead. The Alchemist is right there, but it's one of the few places in the world, where you can also routinely drink Hill Farmstead and Lawson's IPA's in the local bars, even if they're not brewed right there.

I believe Pliny the Elder is the beer that started it all...so... my pick would be Santa Rosa, CA.

The HF hype is so huge that people who haven't had their beer already love it.

You have to go with Grand Rapids Michigan. Can you say Double Trouble!

I'd prefer that the IPA capital of the world produce IPAs that were, you know, distributed.

    Sorry Vermont.

    San Diego, perhaps?

I would ‘vote’ for San Diego being the IPA Capital:

    · Stone

    · Green Flash

    · Ballast Point

    · Alpine

    · Alesmith

There are probably others I should add to that list.

    Cheers!

A lot of great IPAs are coming from all over the U.S. nowdays, but this is the only answer that makes any sense.

Alpine CA or Flossmoor IL, though the latters' great IPAs/DIPAs all seem to be archived.

Its close between Greensboro/Waterbury, VT and San Diego, CA. However, the latter is sooooo much bigger than the former that it just doesn't seem like a fair comparison.

got me bro. I love their beers I've never had

Never said I loved their beers, just thought that'd be the overwhelming response here and was joking. Didn't think of San Diego for some reason. Oh well, guess people will take something anyway they want to make a smartass remark.
