Thank you for the suggestion, I should probably should have tried that first :stuck_out_tongue: I found who is selling the event merchandise, and they even have it up for sale along with a couple of the brewers t-shirts! Here's the link

I will be there on Saturday night and I intend to make the most of my tickets, and then some...

Will be there all 3 sessions in order to take my time, taste a lot of unusual beers & ciders in a leisurely fashion, and take breaks at my favorite local watering holes for sustenance. Like the fact you can come & go as you please with the wrist band. Sunday will head up to the "Noshbow" event - and that is about all I can take in one weekend!

I'll be coming down from Montreal, hitting the Friday session. Don't know if I'll be free to go to bottle tastings, but I'll bring something from Quebec just in case...

I guess people who buy early get screwed when an event doesn't sell out.

Thanks for posting this jbart, I was hoping a promo code would surface just like it did last year. Can't wait for The Festival!

Honestly, I have no idea why this doesn't sell out and they need to use promo discount codes.

That promo code stuff kinda pisses me off. It just penalizes the people who were excited and bought tickets early. Now given the price difference there's no way I would have bought the three session ticket, I would have just gotten the two evening sessions and explored the area during the day Saturday. Even if I have a great time, the chances of returning next year are slim to none for me.

I hate crap like this. It's one thing to give a discount if people are making a donation to a local food bank or other charitable organization (which I think is great), but when you do it out of desperation at the 11th hour to recoup costs, it tells your dedicated Festival go-ers that they mean nothing to you (or that they're just suckers). It's bad enough we have to deal with their absurd markups on domestics (e.g., Jolly Pumpkin, Anchorage, Prairie Ales), but this just sucks

The lesson we learn is to wait to buy tickets next time if it's close by.

Just got an email from Shelton Brothers.

"But the reality of the situation is that there's so much incredible stuff to try and so many incredible people to meet, that there's really no way to take full advantage of the experience in just one session of a few hours.

Therefore, we've decided to present you with a special offer. If you'd like to attend an additional session – either on Friday night 6:30 - 10:30 or on Saturday night 6:30 - 10:30– we'll make tickets available to you for just $30 (plus eventbrite fees). This is not an offer for the public. It is an offer specifically for you, our friend in beer. We simply want to make this extraordinary event as meaningful as possible to all of our enthusiastic attendees."

Looks like they're trying to control the outrage by offering tickets at a discounted rate to those who already bought them. Still doesn't help those who bought 3-session passes.

More important than the complaining about the promo code, has anyone seen any sort of beer list? (Also someone who bought a 3 event ticket)

I have assumed the beer list would be posted early next week once all the brewers were in-country, etc. I know of at least three people who posted that they bought a three-session ticket, but that's it.

In the end, just give me reasonable pours and ignore the beer tickets, and I'll be happy :grinning:

This is going from bad to worse for those of us idiots that bought 3-session tickets. Thanks Shelton Bros!

Sounds like a good solution to me. That would allow the 3 session holders try the lesser known breweries rather than save all their tickets for the big boys Cantillon, Mikkeller, and Drie Fonteinen to name a few.

How about any other brewers that people are looking to see other than the obvious? Local Option, Freigeist, Buxton, Brodie's, Rising Tide, and Against the Grain. I am not expecting to be disappointed.
