Beer plans for the rest of the summer?

Going to Charleston, SC area (like I do each summer), but will finally visit the Piggly Wiggly on Maybank Highway!

(Apparently, it is well-known for their beer selection.)

 

Already crashed some nearby rural PA, crashing Philly once again and Tired Hands... Crushing some Richmond and Hardywood... that's about all I got for now... and saving up for my latest Etre Gourmet purchase...

Not too much in the works for me at the moment. Definitely gonna drag the girlfriend down to Toppling Goliath one of these weekends. We spent a few days last week bumming around Duluth and eating/drinking very well at Fitger's. That trip is a blast by the way. If anyone is within a day's drive, I'd highly recommend it. Great beer and incredible scenery along the North Shore.

 

Great Taste of the Midwest. Got my avatar pic there last year so this will be round two for me. Really excited, I'm shooting for being less drunk at the end this time. So hard to pace yourself though so many free beers so little time!!!!

Planning a few small road trips to sample the area brew pubs I haven't been to yet. Get drunk on the beach more.

 

Get to 500 reviews (about 40 to go) and drink more Saisons (a previously ignored style I have been making an effort to explore this summer).

 

Hosting what will be best tasting of the year to date ill be in attendance for....heading to Vermont for the 4th time this year and then up to Quebec and over to Ontario...Only one solid beer bar in London,Ontario but its all beers i dont have on draft in NY!

Rest of the summer? I didn't know it had started!

My plan is to hit a few local breweries for growlers/tastings/tours (Jack's Abby, New England Brewing Company and Smuttynose).

 

Just wrapped up a few trips to Half Acre, Greenbush, and 3 Floyd's in the past month, still on the list is our Bell's/Darkhorse trip and a drive out east to VT, CT, and Philly to meet my girlfriend's family and buy way too much beer

 

Berliner is also on my agenda, I had a good one last week in Massachusetts.

 

Indiana/midwest beer domination: first week of july.
glorious return to PDX: end of august.

 

I'm going to The Festival in Portland, ME on Saturday and then I'm going to drink mostly Belgian/Farmhouse beer the remainder of the Summer.

 

About 10-15 years ago you wouldn't be saying something like this, but...

I am really looking forward to drinking beer in Rome, and it's waaaaay up there on the list of the things I want to do while I'm there.

NHC for me, too. Hopefully making another trip down to Athens, GA for Funky Fest at (the terribly named) Aromas and to see if the UGA girls are still wearing mom shorts at Terrapin.

 

Keep a stable cellar without overflowing it
Brewing a Belgian IPA with Citra and Galaxy(next couple weeks), another normal IPA, Pumpkin ale?
(maybe) Brewing an Octoberfest or Bock (decoction mashes deter me, but if I make one, it'll be double decocted no questions)
Entering the MI Beer cup again.

 

Hopefully a toppling Goliath road trip next month. About a 3 hour drive for us so not too bad.
