    My tradition is as follows:
    1) Open beer
    2) Drink beer
    3) Open another beer
    4) See #2
    5) See #3
    ...and so on.

Cracking a beer every night when I get home from work is probably my only tradition. Actually, I guess that is more off a ritual.

On Thanksgiving I usually have a New Glarus fruit beer. I guess it will be Strawberry Rhubarb this year.
Same with New Years Eve. Hopefully a Belgian Red.

Every week I spend money I don't have, to buy more beer, that adds to the beer that I don't have enough time to drink.

    Watching hockey=Canadian beer.
    Watching bicycle racing=Belgian beer.
Also, as at least one other poster has mentioned, La Fin du Monde on New Year's Eve.

    No exceptions.

My tradition: always say yes to free beer. Then I pretend that I bought that beer to so as to justify getting more beer. It works like this: if I get three free beers then I should feel good about getting a more expensive six pack because it's like I'm getting nine beers for that price.

Nothing like a nice Weissebier after a long run...and I think I'm starting to forget how to shower without a beer

drinking it. and taking notes on almost every beer I haven't tried before.

also, most special occasions (for example, today...a promotion) are marked by popping a special bottle...Champagne is only for important anniversaries with the wife...bring on the barley and hops for life's other blessings

The day of an IU basketball game I try to drink only beers from Indiana. Since I only really get them through trade I opt to not drink beers from the state of the opponent. It can be tough when IU plays Michigan and Michigan State.
