I used to be like, 'um. no.' Now it's like 'sour? brett?? wine-barrel aged??? i want 4!'

    Wow, it's been a while.

Depends on the bottle.. I feel like a 375ml bottle of Supplication at $15 is sort of ridiculous.. and I've seen that. But then again, I paid $50 for a bottle of Westy 12.. so.. Clearly my judgment is questionable at times.

Now I barely hesitate for some 750 over $20...*cough*The Bruery*cough*

As I get older I'm starting to be more cost-aware of the 'everyday beers,' but I've never let cost get in the way of a beer I want.

I've moved away from that. Pretty much exclusively buy 6 and 12 packs now or drink home brew.

The novelty has worn off, and it's very rarely as good as the price suggests.

Yep, lump me in with everyone else. It still gives me pause, I almost never purchase a bottle for $15. If it doesn't give you pause you're missing out on a whole lot of beer, most likely a lot of things that have to do with the word "lager."

So much really good beer out there for reasonable prices that I just can't bring myself to do it.

I can remember a time when I didn't know that $15 bottles of beer existed.

I won't blindly spend $15 on a bomber, but if it's something highly rated and seems to fit in with what I like style-wise, I won't hesitate. Sours make my wallet hurt...

I pretty much only drink local, fresh brews these days (mainly IPAs) but like to stock up on my favorite and new, intriguing barrel-aged bottles a couple times a year. Inexpensive shelf beers are the way to go, but I can't deny the excitement of a few trades and being able to pull out special bottles every now and then, even if they are $15 or $20.

I certainly take brewery and style into consideration the most, as well as a bit of popular opinion. I really have no problem spending $15+ on a new bomber if it's something I want to try. Then again, I do have a good bit of disposable income that I use for beer, so...

I look at it like this. When I go to the bar and have 3 draft beers, it's usually like $15-20 bucks including the tip(Yes, Boston sucks). Instead of going to the bar, I could have bought that overpriced bottle instead.

Firestone 10th Anniversary sold for something like $9.99 at BevMo. At the time I thought that was pricey. If I could have seen where beer culture was heading, I would have bought a lot more--and drank them.

I went on a bomber/750 kick for a while and wouldnt hesitate to buy a $30 bottle, but nowadays I've moved back to 6-packs and realized that the big bottles are rarely worth the cost.

I for sure still hesitate for a bomber that's $15 or more. If it's something rare I will for sure go for it.

Right now I'm trying to make myself pay $22.99 for Sour in the Rye....it's always in stock so I keep telling Myself "next week"...maybe this week

Still definitely gives me pause. As much as I love some brews such as Parabola which fetch this much, I struggle to justify paying more than $10 for a single bomber when I can find that brew at $10 or less for a pour at a bar. When everything is run up at a bar, it seems more logical to have these pricey brews when out than buying them and drinking in the home.

$15 is roughly 1/3 of my post-tax monthly beer budget. So yes.

Bombers in general are very rarely worth the $/oz to me, even when I do have the money.
