$15 Bomber/750 gives me half a pause. $15 12 oz/375 gives me full pause. I still occasionally pull the trigger, but make damn well sure I know what I'm getting into first. Happily, I can't say I've had any regrets for the ones I've purchased- and I'll thank Beer Advocate for that part!

I can't recall ever dropping $15 on a bomber. I can't imagine doing it any time soon either.

What good bombers can you get for under $6?

I can pick up FW Wookey Jack for $3.79, Stone IPA and Arrogant Bastard for $3.29 and $3.79, all the Lagunitas are usually at or under $5, etc. There's great beer to be had at reasonable value.

Always has, always will. Everything is relative to price. A good beer that is $7.99 a six pack could be a favorite / mainstay in my fridge but the same exact beer could be a one time buy at $14.99 per six pack. A beer that is $15+ a bomber would have to be one of my absolute favorites for me to even consider buying it once a year.

Yeah but I was 20 and had to have others buy it for me. Now these crazy people who pay for smart phones....I have no idea how people justify that one!

I will entertain 750's and bombers of wilds/sours for 15 bucks or more due to the nature of the beer. I find that the prices charged for barrel aging are insane and rarely worth the premium.

But, yes, anything over $10 still gives me pause.

Solid beer. Not worth the pricetag though IMHO.

Wow that is pretty insane. Wookey Jack costs $8 in Chicago. Stone is $7 at the cheapest. I feel like I've seen Lagunitas at $5 occasionally here but I'm not really into any of their beers.

Except for Lagunitas, those are all insane prices for CA too.

I remember when quarts of Stag were $.89. Everything nowadays gives me sticker shock.

I rarely ever spend $15 on a bomber but that's mostly because there aren't many down here. I will spend $11 on clown shoes Ba stuff or a little more on growler fills but that's about it. If I could just go out and pick up Parabola or Abyss though I wouldn't even blink an eye.

I wish that price tag gave me more of a pause. In the case of Surly limited releases I'm reaching for a box to fill it up for the cellar. In the case of Pentagram, I'd say the case was worth it.

I pause every time I open my cellar closet as I thank god the shelves with my $3-50(BADL) bottles haven't ripped off the wall...had nightmares about it before

But, Price is Price, & if it's worth it in my own
mind, that is all that matters.
