Thanks. Good looking list so far.

Being that we'll be drinking outside in the heat I'll probably go with some lighter stuff (saisons/sours)

Just thinking about this and since I've never been to one of these things before I was wondering how were going to keep the beer cool on a hot spring day? I mean obviously most of these beers are not meant to be drank at 40 degrees but if its a sunny, 80 degree day, then that's not good either. Also just curious as to how the bottle share actually goes down. Assuming there will be 100 people there, and that everyone wants to at least sample their own beer, do people keep their beers with them? Or are all the beers put together and then sampled by whoever happens to be near them at the time? How are beers divvied up, especially regarding size of pours? Sorry for all the questions, just new to how this process works.

beers are divided up by style...table for ipa, table for stouts, ect... you can only open your own beer. size of pour and "who gets it" are determined on the don't be douchebag system

And for you non-metric users it's about a 1 to 1.578 ratio compared to the anti-ass-hat system.

I'm just going to bring a small soft sided cooler with an ice pack. It should be fine for the hour or so it needs to keep anything cool. Does anybody have room in a car from the mainline/western burbs? I'd be happy to pay gas/parking if it means not taking my car down.

Yeah, I can grab the bus to 69th st. a couple of blocks from my place. I just figured if someone was going but had to take it easy for work reasons or whatever I would try to hook it up.

We will keep the beers in the shade. I'm bringing a small tailgating tent thing and there is shade from trees and houses. I will also have small ice bins/coolers for each table (not large enough for all of the beers, but enough to rotate the beers in). I've never hosted one of these outside, but my wife is extremely smart so I'm sure that she has thought of most of the expected issues. If you think of something else, please let me know. It's going to be a great day.

Are you bitching about free beer, are you some kind of elitist. If you don't like it don't drink it. Some people are really new to all of this and don't have much to offer, that does not make them assholes, but you just made one of yourself.

Yea jackies is not what the hype would lead people to believe. In fact I have had more bad then good, can't say that about om. I can say that about most of what I've had from elysian, dust and fuzz were good but ehh on the rest.
