There goes my hope for it being around til next Wednesday. Oh well, hopefully a bottle of something (anything!) is available because I can only drink so many growlers in the proper amount of time.

Going up tomorrow (weather depending) with some NYC BA's. Hopefully they last. We're leaving here at 5am to make it by 11am.

It wasnt available for that long and the BA FFF beers are horrible. I don't think anyone would actually trade good beer for them in the first place.

When I got Ann, it came from a cardboard box...it went straight from the box to Mrs. Hill's hand to my hand. So, BOOM, a HF beer that wasn't a shelf beer! How do you like them apples?! Birth of Tragedy too...cardboard box to my hand!!

To be fair, my Juicy did come from the shelf. Granted, I had to skip work on a Friday, drive two hours, wait in line for two hours to get to that shelf, but still. SHELF WALEZ, BRO.

It'd be a great thing to be up there today or tomorrow, hope everyone is having fun.

HELP: someone up there, ask how long it will be until Society and Solitude #5 is back on!!

Shaun tweeted three days ago that it was nine days out. So it sounds like next Wednesday is the target.

Looking forward to filling up a growler or two of it on Friday.

Sorry, I missed that, awesome! If I could have one beer the rest of my days, it'd be SS#5. Can't wait!

"goandpickitupformebro" isn't advocacy, nor required of anyone. if you have a very, very good routine trade partner and you ask them for it, perhaps you MIGHT be allowed to be SLIGHTLY annoyed if they simply said no without a reason. but a "guy" on the trade forums saying "sorry, i wont goandpickitupforyoubro"? and you're mad?

i need to stop posting in these damn threads. they just make me angry.

anyway, i'll be there on July 4th, probably with the rest of BeerAdvocate's New England and Midatlantic membership... i would really enjoy it if a few CD6s, at least, were still around!

    hell yeah.

Anna is out. People were buying up the 6 bottle limit like crazy.

Friggin sold out right in front of me! Always next year.

The troll is strong in this one.

But to answer your question, these beers were brewed once, and unlikely to be brewed again at least anywhere in the foreseeable future. So BA DLs which will most likely be made in higher numbers every year than a beer like madness 2, which won't be brewed again, are really so much more special than these HF shelf beers. I have a '13 BVDL btw, and the full allotment of today's release, just for full disclosure.

I hope my BVDL and Murda'd aren't horrible lol. But I'm assuming the 13 bottles are going to be awesome at least, plus 2 more elaborative and Anna which I know are awesome. Just when I think I'm not gonna spend a fortune, I spent every dime I had bc of the bigger allotments. How long did it take if you were near the end of the line anyway? Luckily my friends and I were 2nd-5th in line. Leaving PA at 1:30 AM worked out nicely.

Ditto, it was very painful to leave without Abner, but I didn't have the time. Stopped at Alchemist instead, we're lucky to have Heady as our fallback beer.

Question about the rules. If a group is on line for bottles, is it ok for some of that group to leave for growler fills and then get back in line with their group for bottles. I thought not, but people were doing it.

Too bad on Anna being gone, but I can imagine that went fast with people in town for the release today. Dammit.

who knows if any BADL will be done again or be the same... and no where has HF said they wouldn't do Juicy or others again, a lot of speculation in this thread...
