Went today was there total under 20 mins got bottles n left.

Everyone always complains. It worked out n no I didn't double my allotment to 12 of each. Only doubled the single

Plenty of beer n no one will ever be happy

Please be safe everyone... we're on our way up right now. My parents just drove through northern VT back into NY and said police and fire rescue were already being deployed with flooding and washed out roads expected.

Nick, I don't know what the HFB team's thinking was, but I offer a couple of additional perspectives... First, the website has always said, "All limits subject to change," which I've taken to mean that planning a trip to the brewery with a specific beer in mind is always a risky endeavor. (For me, I've always taken more-than-comfort in knowing that whatever is available is still going to be some tasty liquid.) Second, I think it's important to remember that the current release is still a "make-up" for the Memorial Day weather calamity. So from a staffing/process perspective, I can appreciate the interest in moving the bottles out and getting back to their work of running a brewery.

Have fun on your VT trip...

Would u think major highways would be a concern?

Just for future reference, if you chat with someone for several hours in line and know they want just 1 bottle of Anna, don't be a dick and clear out the last of the stuff and not offer a bottle. Especially if the guy gave you the rest of his allotment he wasn't going to buy. It makes you kind of a dick.

Hey we're supposed to be driving up early tomorrow morning from Brooklyn. Can you update on the road conditions here so we know whether to cancel or not. Thanks!

Currently SB I-89 is down to one lane between exit 11 and exit 12, because the road has washed out. Not a concern for most going to HF unless you are in Burlington area, but it could happen elsewhere. Most of Rt 15 runs along the Lamoille river which is already pretty high. Going to HF you'll miss most of the areas (afaik) that are having the flooding problems right now, but we are getting a big storm tomorrow. So just take the normal precautions, don't drive through moving water or water you don't know the depth of. Every gas station will have a state map, get one if you don't have a dedicated GPS. Phone GPSs can be worthless.

511VT is a good resource. They have an interactive map that can be very slow to be updated, but their twitter account is very good.

For Brooklyn, if for some reason you were thinking about going up the thruway, you'll want to go 95->91 etc etc.

How bad does the road to the brewery get? Planning on making my first trip up tomorrow and have heard that it can get pretty bad...should that be expected?

I think 95 to 91 is your quickest and best way to go. HF isn't too far off of 91 and you're not driving through many, if any, back roads. I don't think you should be too concerned with this route.

Really there are three ways to go. If you have the time, going up the Thruway (I-87) then over via 4/22A -> rt 7, is longer but a way better drive; if you are headed to Burlington this would be the faster way(imo). 95-> Rt15 -> 91 or you could do 684 -> 84 -> 91. I like 84 better than 95, it always seems 84 has less traffic.

As of this morning, sounds like getting to HF will be fine.
