Don't really want to say it but I really preferred Dale's. Had a lovely bready biscuity juicy quality which was so well integrated and balanced with a long yet restrained classy bitterness. Very nice. The SNPA was quite soft and malt forward and sort of fell apart over the course of the poured bottle. Not a good showing but unfortunately the usually reliable Sierra Nevada has thrown up a number of disappointments lately.

Not drinking anything tonight. Allergies are just killing me and they've really affected my beer consumption for over a month or so.

I'm moving tomorrow, which means I have to finish my Trappist month tonight. Finishing on a high, with Rochefort 8 and 10.

    Sonnet 43 India Pale Ale

An old style IPA following in the footsteps of such classics of the style as GK IPA and McEwans IPA.
Their Blonde is nowt to write home about either but I hear good things about their bourbon milk stout

I am going to be so depressed next week when I look over at the shelf where this lot used to be. I need to be friends with some more monks...

William's Bros Prodigal Sun. I've had a few of these, and it always goes down a treat.

after a morning banging away on the keyboard getting the beer list together for BSF @ GBBF it has been a pleasurable afternoon /early evening sinking a few pints of Ossett Citra.

As always a beertastic journey through London. Stopped off at St. Pancras for a few bottles - Beavertown Hara Kari Saison, Partizan 7-grain porter, Hospital Records signature brew beer, and a couple of others I forget. Then to Paddington and some Meantime Friesian Pilsener on keg at the Beer House, then a pint each of Fullers Sticky Wicket and Discovery - both distinctly mediocre, I wish Fullers would put a bit more effort into the seasonals.

Not bad for never leaving the train stations though.

Hayfever is getting the better of me. Everything I've sampled lately has tasted off. Nothing for me again. Think I'll pop my eyes out, run them under some cold water and re-insert for maximum relief.

It might sound bonkers but if you have any swimming goggles
try wearing them for half an hour or so, it works a treat.

Rogue bottle of Torpedo appeared in Tescos
so having this as my solitary beer tonight
was expecting an ancient faded thing
but still a whole lot of flavour if a little less aroma

Can't see the attraction in Torpedo mesel', thought it was ok but nothing special.
Tiny Rebel Urban IPA tonight, floral, perfumey,, plenty of malt in evidence and a hint of hairspray.

I bought a Samuel Smith pack that had 3 beers, 2 coasters, and a glass. I drank the 3 from that glass...Nutbrown, Oatmeal, and India Ale.

it's more a case, well almost a case of Hobson's choice
the missus is to ill at the moment to be left for me to get some cask beer at a good pub
and its basically the best thing that my Tesco could offer.

Better than my Tossco which has a small selection of dull piss.
Not trying to take you to task about your beer choice, just noticed that Torpedo seems to be a popular choice and wondered what I am missing and with SN in general.
