Excellent. Was going down for the weekend. Anyone know what their hours are for the weekend? I can't find any info.

12-4. Last few times they've released OTWOA, there's been a bit of a line before opening, so keep that in mind.

I stood in line last time, but by 1PM the line was done and there was plenty of OTWOA left. Not that I minded waiting, but don't feel like you have to get there right when they open or miss out.

Agreed, having the cash line outside for the May release was a great idea. Much better/quicker than the March release when it was only the 2 registers inside they were using.

OP, thanks for the head's up. Hit DC Brau at about 12:30 today. No line. Fresh and ice cold. Wanted to open one in the car, but nope. Out of stickers, rats!

This was my first time hitting DC Brau up. I do NOT envy those guys today... that place was super hot and I'm guessing even worse in back. The guy selling the beer was in good spirits. Super pumped to have gotten some of this as well as a can glass. Those things are sweet!

Love the can glass, it's all I drink from because it looks so cool!

I hit it up yesterday as well. I always enjoy supporting DC Brau. Has anyone had Pyramids Under the Sea or Everyday Junglist?

I had Pyramids under the Sea recently, review is already on the site. It basically reminded me of their regular Corruption with perhaps a little more biscuit and just a different hop profile (Chinook instead of Columbus).

Junglist smells amazing. It tastes great too, but the aroma is really something. PUTS is good too.

I need to get some OTWOA, Public, and PQP for my beach trip later this month, but I was just there last Saturday and the time it takes me to get there and back from Burke (VA) makes it a tough sell to the wife. Especially on a sunny Saturday afternoon with two kids to entertain.

Anyone have a better route to get there from NOVA other than 395-New York-Bladensburg? I've tried going in via 295 before too and that was a traffic/construction train wreck.

I thought Junglist was terrible, perhaps the worst beer DC Brau has made. It smells like wet cardboard and tastes only slightly better. It really seems like something might've gone wrong with this beer but they released it anyway.

I heard the same opinion from IrishColonial but tried it today and thought it was solid, if not remarkable. Granted it's tough for me to really "taste" their beers when at the brewery due to all the commotion and brewery smells.

I thought both Junglist and PUTS were solid, but nothing standout. Fresh OTWOA, however, is spectacular as always. :-)

Bring your family, make a day trip to DC out of it including the quick stop by the brewery, that should do the trick. I pity you guys having to sell it to the wife for "permission," but that's why I'm perfectly content being in a serious relationship with no kids and nothing more at the moment. :stuck_out_tongue: 66-6th-Rhode Island worked fine for me coming from out in Loudoun last time.

In other news, my brother just grabbed two cases a moment ago, so it's definitely going to be a good night tonight!

Yeah, I'm trying Rhode Island next time.

I don't necessarily have to ask permission to do stuff, but I know it's not for the best when I've already spent 3 hours plus on a bike ride with buddies earlier in the day.

Arboretum is prime this time of year, although it's always pretty cool.

Can't beat the bonsai garden after a couple samples at the brau.
