    First Sculpin IPA in a year or so. It's a shame.. my bottle is definitely not that fresh. Have no fear, Alesmith IPA is backing it up and will hopefully come through (never had that one).

    Best new to me IPA I've had all year:

    Honestly, this beer destroys most of the hoppy beers made locally and it only cost me $5.99 for the bomber. Compared to the local prima donnas who think their beer is worth approximately double, this beer kicks some serious ass!

    Today was the first time I've seen it for sale. Big citrus hop flavor and aroma with some mild spicy and pine hop notes. Big hoppy flavor without the bitterness. I think it would appeal to the hop head and to people who like hoppy, highly aromatic and flavorful beers that aren't super bitter without being sweet. I think it's better than any IPA Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, DFH, Bells or Founders makes, just to mention a few.

    Now that I think about it, the only hoppy beers I like better than this one are DIPAs. I may have to rate it higher than 4.38 after I buy another bomber. 4.38 is world class for me.
