    Press Release:

(Ashland, OR) – Caldera Brewing Company of Ashland, Oregon has chosen New York’s independent, craft only distributor, Remarkable Liquids to introduce their brand to New York State. The breweries Amber Ale, Pale Ale, and IPA will hit select New York State markets July 1st. Also available will be a full complement of 22 ounce specialties and an extreme rarity on the East Coast – Draft.

Caldera is one of the few breweries that brew exclusively with whole leaf hops. “We believe that whole leaf hops give our beer a cleaner, more pungent, hop presence,” says Jim Mills founder of Caldera Brewing. “We also employ minimal filtering and package our product in cans; as we feel that aggressive filtering diminishes flavor and cans maintain the highest levels of freshness.”

Caldera products are currently available in ten states and Washington D.C.

Caldera Brewing Company’s first kegs rolled out the door August 28, 1997. A well respected Northwestern brewery; deeply immersed in the Oregon lifestyle. With an intense focus on beer quality and a love for their local market they self-distributed their products for the first six years and produced only draft for the first eight years in an effort to deliver their customers the freshest Northwest hop character possible. They now offer three award winning beers in cans and draft along with a 22oz seasonal bottle selection.

Remarkable Liquids is a craft-distribution company based in Albany, NY. Shipping their first case in July of 2012, Remarkable Liquids was created to offer a distribution option different from all others in NYS. Selling only craft beer, cider and kombucha, Remarkable Liquids is committed to passionately purveying the highest quality beverages in the world.

Awesome, I'll be keeping an eye out for these.

It's always fun to see new breweries make it out here. Most recently, Crooked Stave's Hop Savant was a game changer, so freaking good. Schlafly on the other hand was just okay.

Just wait for Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale or their Tasmanian IPA to make it out here...
Will change your mind on then for sure.
