I'd tell you what it costs in KY but it's STILL NOT HERE.....

That's how I felt. The first glass was awesome, and the remaining pours lacked something.

I had decided that I was going to pass on this one, until I walked in to my local supermarket today and saw it sitting on the shelf for $6.99. I figured that I had to at least try it!

Agree. Had it on draft and did not care for it at all. Understand they are selling a lot of bottles. Butterscotch flavor and way too boozy. Will not buy it again. Would much rather have Port Brewing Hop 15 or 7th Anniversary if I want a 10.5+ 2XIPA than this stuff. Perhaps we're just spoiled here in SD having some better options.

It flew off shelves here in ATL and I managed to get 5 from my local store...I haven't tried it yet but would find it hard to beat the last Enjoy By that we got a growler of several months back. Damn that's the freshest, juiciest beer I ever had. <eyeing 1st RuinTen bottle curiously>

Have to disagree... I remember being really impressed with last year's offering, this years is definitely not the same exact beer they bottled last year. Much more malt and just way more boozy in the end. Last years went down real well, had more balance and perhaps citrus and pine.

Ruin 10 was good, but not epic....a solid A- beer. I wasn't really crazy about it. However, I am really waiting for the Enjoy By IPA here in Jersey. I sure do miss living in Southern California!

Its not worth all the fuss to get it. Im a hop head, but its overly hopped and too much of everything else. I'd rather have just had a regular Ruination.

I don't understand the "Fuss" part. I walked into the store. Bought 2 drank and shared them. Repeated this 3 more times.

Maybe, I was just lucky. I do think it's fantastic though and got my bottles for 7.99 each. How do you beat a deal like that?

I actually wrote "This huge IPA showcases a beautiful, rind-driven citrus scent with a sharp garlic undertone that bites the nose and leaves the reviewer guessing" in my "Scent" log for RuinTen. I didn't dislike that jab at the nose, more than thought it offered a wave of palate cleansing in the sip when the beer actually jumps out at you upon swallow. It's a multidimensional IPA with a clean, creamy front and an extremely dry, bitter, hop driven kick that seems to only be separated by that garlic tone I noticed. That divider really created that multidimensional note and without it I'd feel like we wouldn't get that real kick.
I take pretty damn good fucking notes...
