    After class, I thought I'd head over to Michael Symon's Roast in Detroit. While waiting for them to open for Happy Hour, I thought I'd run across the lobby to grab a cold ice water at the cafe because it was so hot and humid today. Then I run into this guy:

    Yup! That's Anthony Bourdain! I introduce myself and leave him alone (but not before sneaking a creepy picture of him). I'm talking to the lady getting me my ice water and I tell her that I'm just waiting to grab a beer at Roast. Apparently Mr. Bourdain overheard me and showed up at Roast shortly after and we chatted at the bar.

    Being a chef and beer lover myself, we spent the next hour talking about beer, traveling, food, and Detroit. Today was a good day.
