Sorry to hear it. I just cracked a couple not too long ago (in the last month) and they were both fine, and my local tasting group has yet to report anything amiss. It is a shame, but I believe it's because they cold press the coffee in and somehow that infects the beer. I'm not a brewer, nor can I find the relevant post, but that's the reasoning, for what it's worth. CW is pretty good about reimbursing those who got infected bottles, so I'd advise contacting them if you want.

Dare I say Ommegang BPA. Of course anything that comes out of Ommegang is top notch but the BPA didn't inspire me. "Worst" is a harsh word for that caliber of brewery but it's the least of the best.

OK, an unintentional infection. Even then, there are some infections that never give drinkable results.

Brew Dog's STORM. Probably one of the worst beers I have ever tasted.

It tasted like I was getting mouth ***** by a Christmas tree. Not a good vibe.

I understood, what you meant. Just curious. If there is an unintentional infection, but I think it works with the beer, I wouldn't consider it a bad beer. It may be a bad brewery that got lucky, but I don't care if it tastes good and doesnt make me sick. I have had some unintentionally soured beer that have been better than intentionally soured. The end result is what matters in my book. Not to say that infection issues arent serious. It is probably rare when unintentional infections work out for the good.

Both of my choices will be highly unpopular, but for me it's Lagunitas Sucks and Bell's Two Hearted. I can't decide which one I hate more.

Your Double Trouble experience is vastly different than mine has been. I don't even find it very piney at all to tell you the truth.

Highly unpopular probably but honest for sure! I haven't been able to get my hands on any two hearted ale here in Los Angeles. Sucks was actually my very first DIPA (just got into the craft beer scene) and immediately fell in love with it.

"Cranberry Fezziwig"? I would agree that Cranberry LAMBIC would fit the bill here (why do they call this a Lambic?) and would also include Blackberry Wit (made myself say 'Gack') but OLD Fezziwig is one of my favorite Sam Adams brews come the holidays. Still a little salty that Cranberry Lambic is available in sixers but I have to buy a holiday 12 pack of assorted brews just to get 2 Fezzy's. What's up with that?

Interesting comparison. I did enjoy Hoptimum quite a bit though.

Do you know how many fewer 12 packs they'd sell if they sold fezziwig separate? Half the people I know who buy those things buy them because its a tradition to drink Fezziwig in the winter.
