Wow, you got a lot of time but you put it to good use as I was curious how it might be breaking down.

Couple of notes from me alone.
    3F means 3 Floyds.
Never heard of FFF as anything but another way to say 3F until today. You'd think after nearly 1K (one thousand, not 1024) reviews I would have at least heard of FFF Brewery before today! Nope.
Wouldn't DF be the "normal" or nominal abbreviation for Drie Fonteinen as the board is in English? I'm going with yes.

Good work on the breakdown, man. Keep your whistle wet.

Thanks for the compliment and for criticism. On the latter, it looks like it's something we'll have to disagree on.

I know for a fact that in at least two lists 3F did not mean Three Floyds because they were both listed. At another point people mentioned "3F Geuse", which also suggests Drei Fonteinen (Drei=3). I may have too much time on my hands and may miss a few details here and there, but I usually do these things for a reason. As for Triple fff Brewery, it's a small English craft brewery that produces some a limited but supposedly pretty good variety. Never had any of their wares, but they do exist. Looking at their wares, it certainly looks like something I'd like to try. Apparently English homebrews can make it to the show too... :stuck_out_tongue:

Either way, I recall only three FFF and six 3F listed, so, counting at least some of them not being Three Floyds, it would not change the groupings even if I moved all of them under Three Floyds.

Not that it changes anything, but still, just for the record, my 3F listing was 3 Fonteinen.

Come on chief . A homebrewer not knowledgeble about the jersey beer scene. You got to give a shout out to Carton, Kane and High Point at least. The others (Weyerbacker,Flying Fish,Cricket Hill etc.) have been around a while and although good brews I would understand) but those three-world class.

I've only lived in New Jersey for about 18 months and I am from California so I haven't really figured out the growler scene yet. That being said I have had beers from all of those breweries. Some of it is pretty good, but you know what I'm not giving up Founders just so that I can get Carton 077XX. If I expanded the list to 20 there would still be breweries that were left out. Some respectable breweries have to get cut to pare the list down to 10. I had to give up Goose Island, Great Divide, Oskar Blues, New Belgium, Fantome, Brasserie Dupont, Boulevard, Kern River, Ballast Point, Alpine. After I got them back in, I might go for Carton on a 30 brewery list. Weyerbacher and the rest would have to wait for probably a 30+ list.

Just for kicks, and because I had the time, I went through the whole list and discovered I have the most breweries in common with Beefytits4, 7 out of 10. I'm sure someone's got that beat.
