Not a bad night for some Victory at Sea!

A big 24oz can of Iron Mike awaits me at home, thanks to Valdieu2.

 

I am going with an Alesmith ipa then turning to my friend Hoppin frog BORIS The CRUSHER! After that we will have to see!

 

do tell...been dying to try the base beer. how was it? how did it compare?

 

Went down easy, but had a very bitter aftertaste. At the end, I didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

 

I enjoyed the second half of a bottle of Harvest Dance wheat wine. I opened it last night, had a glass, and sealed it with some wine preserving gas and a tight fitting cork. It kept perfectly overnight and tastes just as carbonated and not oxidized at all. Delicious stuff.

 

After a couple days of exclusive water drinking, I could hardly believe how freaking great this Torpedo looks/smells/tastes! YUM YUM YUM. Cheers ~

 

A little late to the party, but I'm sipping on a Sucks.

 

As soon as I finished mowing the lawn, hit a stone, more brown than black, now I'm on to a bomber of Olde Hickory Seven Devils, pretty tasty brew!

Starting things off with this while mapping out a route through Vermont this summer. It's a challenge. How many places can I stop at in one 10 hour period...

 

Just had my last hop notch IPA about to move onto to a Sam Adams Summer while I plan the final details for my Euro trip in a week. (Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin)

Easy evening here in Northern California, had a couple of Bitter Americans as I chilled out on the patio with the dogs. May open an Abacus when the wife gets home.

Sipping a half growler of Southern Star Sour Smoked Porter. Unfortunately, it seems as to have been filled improperly, because there is ZERO carbonation, which is odd, as it was filled last night. No *hiss* from the expulsion of CO2 on initial opening. No head, even from the first pour. It does have a sour tingling in the jaw and nice roasted aroma/flavor, but what's the point if its lacking in body? I'm glad I didn't try this on draught so that I have something to look forward to!

Awesome, but just lacking presence. What a shame...
