So like i said i'm so glad everything went smooth. My only complaint is that in my opinion we were so busy thinking about the actually release we didn't put enough thinking into the fact that 200+ people were going to get bottles and then want to sample beers. We should have had WAY more glasses ready to go and a few more people working. I mean everything went good enough, but I thought we could have been more prepared for the onslaught of people wanting beers to drink. Then again the law just changed and you have to be certified to pour so i could only ring people up and not pour. Yet if that was the only problem i think we did great

yes all gone. everyone that made it in time and was guaranteed the limit got their limit and then there was red wine left cause we got a better yield from them and then the people who got there later were able to buy those and then they sold out so it's all gone

also imho it goes bourbon>brandy>red wine. my decision is strictly on the fact that i like bourbon more than apple brandy which i like more than red wine.

I find it interesting listening to people and their opinions on these.

Personally, the apple brandy is the most disjointed. It just doesn't integrate with the mexican cake beer profile. Yes, if you want an upfront apple brandy flavor then a subdued mexican cake beer, it works.

I would personally order them in a completely different order.

    Cab red>bourbon>brandy.

The cab red is very well integrated into the mexican cake flavor profile. It fits in very nicely. It isn't overpowering and just adds an extra dimension.

Next the bourbon blends almost as well as the wine but it does impact a little bit of a disjointed flavor. Absolutely delicious but we are getting specific and being honest about the beers here.

And I have already said my piece about the apple brandy.

I might be the weird person as well as I tried the Mexican Coffee Cake on draft. I personally found the coffee completely overwhelming. Don't mistake my comments as saying it wasn't good, it just overwhelmed everything that made the mexican cake, mexican cake. I love the original mexican cake so anything that covers it up isn't ideal in my opinion.

Overall, I enjoyed everything I had at the brewery and I am enjoying sharing all the BA mexican cake beers with friends.

everyone is entitled to their opinion. honestly i just am not a fan of red wine and when i drink some and get that grape and tannin flavors it's just off putting on my palate.

ABMC absolutley blew me away. Although, delicately intertwined nuances aren't necessarily what I am desperately seeking when drinking barrel aged imperial stouts. All 3 were world class IMO... To each his/her own.

I thought the Coffee Cake was amazing, reminded me of a stronger version of Cigar City's Cubano. I too noticed that the heat was somewhat subdued, but that didn't ruin it for me. I hope thy bottle it for us lazy folks. Maybe use coffee from Charleston Coffee Roasters or King Bean.

I haven't tried the BAMCs yet, looking forward to cracking them open.

It is in my top 5 stouts. I am not sure how you could improve it, which is a rare thing.

Netdigger2 and I opened the Cali Brandy Huna after we tried the three BA MCs. Disappointed is too strong a word to use because it's a great beer. ABMC was just so good that I'd easily take it instead given the choice.

Yeah...that was definitely my bad. Just mis-communication between me taking down names without tickets and the tasting room passing out a few tickets without names. All in all though, everyone was super chill and pretty certain most (if not all) left satisfied with how everything turned out. Also, I've seen a couple questions pop up regarding the numbers/allotments/etc., so..

Full allotments were diminished after ticket 203 (as only three of the first 200 people didn't purchase all six bottles). Tickets 204 through 235 received two bottles of the Cabernet variant and after that there was a single case of the Cab bottles left and exactly 12 people that didn't have a number or put their name on the list. Each one got exactly one bottle and everyone that attended received at least one bottle of BAMC.

Yeah, I thought everything went smoothly except when that guy took over calling numbers for the lady in the sombrero. I mean she was giving out high-fives left and right, he didn't. She was talking nicely about everyone, he just mocked people relentlessly, especially Mike and his beard. I'm just saying, things were running smoother until he took over

Oh c'mon! Like he didn't deserve it. Honestly, I shocked that he managed to keep his hands to himself given all the opportunities he must have been presented with.

Also, I have to apologize for butchering everyone's names :grinning:

I'm assuming the Old Time series will also be a Brewery Only release?

I imagine CBX would get some since they collaborated on it. Excited to try those. Westbrook needs to stop brewing so many damn beers I want to try. My wallet is hurting too much!
