Your favorite "cheap quick buzz" beers

I tend to go for whiskey in those situations. I often chase it with a lager of some sort over 5% abv. Spaten Optimator is a favorite.

I can usually get Dancing Man Wheat for $6.99. at 7.2 it does the trick and that's damn cheap for a world class beer. As for "really cheap quick buzz", $3 for 4 pints of Steel Reserve, but only in desperate times.

Anything lagunitas. Seriously, brown shugga and undercover are both under $10 a six pack and will creep up on you quicker than shit.
