Kane Brewing...

Cork City's IPA Smackdown (Blind Tasting). This year was interesting because you got to use your phone. Nice to see Kane took #1

 

Just got my Kane Morning Bell from Wine World in NB...they were holding them in the back and I had to hunt down an employee to ask for one even though I called ahead and asked if they had em.

Wish these came a little closer north.

 

They will be, well if they continue the same streak from the prior bottles. I wouldn't be shocked to see North Jersey get deliveries Thursday/Friday.

 

Second time you've mentioned "Wine World in NB" (also here) - there's no Wine World listed here on BA for any town with the intials "NB" (North Brunswick, North Bergen, New Brunswick, etc). Are you talking about the Brick or East Brunswick Wine World?

 

East Brunswick, my mistake. Heard Super Buy Rite on route 22 got a couple cases as well. Heading there today.

 

Picked up 2 Bottles of Morning Bell today at the brewery. They said most places will see distro this week. They also said this version of Morning Bell is more coffee forward than the previous draft version with a lower ABV.

 

Stopped at Kane today and could not imagine a better place. Half mile from the beach, world class beer in a great environment - one of the best ever.

 

Hoboken Vine gets all of the Kane bottled offerings that see any distribution and has since the first bottling of Malus. They haven't received it yet but Kane stated that deliveries will also be sent out next week. Since they self distribute they send stuff out when there's room on the truck and other deliveries going to that area. Since this production was extremely limited, I assume only the "older" accounts will be lucky enough to get MB. Still no work on BA MB being bottled. I'd assume brewery only on that whenever it is though.

 

Also went to the brewery today. Will be going back many times, that's for sure. Wish they had the snifters for sale, but I got 6 Morning Bells and a growler of head high.

 

No snifters?!?!?!

 

None for sale at least. Not about to steal from my favorite brewery.

 

Why would you assume that when all four of their other bottled offerings made it to distribution. Just because something is barrel aged doesnt automatically make it super rare. ANTEADs was in barrels for arou d a year and that made it to distribution.

 

A few weeks back when I was there hop blend 2 was on and it was fucking phenomenal. I can't wait to see what that becomes.

 

I got two bottles from Super Buy Rite in North Plainfield. I will probably get more bottles from Oak Tree in South Plainfield.

At the tap room two and three weeks ago they had nitro morning bell and porta omna. I love the nitro it adds a total different dimension to the beer.

 

The small tasting snifters? I've bought multiple in the past for $5 a piece. Maybe their supplies are running low or something.

 

Yeah they said they'll be getting a new shipment in soon, but none for sale on Saturday.

 

Yeah i think when i was there like 2-3 weeks ago they had no more tasting snifters for sale, just tulips...seems they ran out

 

That seriously needs to be the name of it!!!

 

BA Port Omna was so delicious! At 7% it might be the most flavorful stout I've had at that abv. Anyone else enjoy this while there?

 

Yeah I have had it while I was there not too long ago, really delicious.
