Yikes! La Folie sells for only 12.00 - 13.00 here! Just glanced at it at a liquor store couple days ago.

Price wise nothing shocks me anymore, its the fact that folks pay some of these prices that shocks me.

Seems like this is par for the course in the DMV. There's a bottle shop in downtown DC selling Pliny for $29.99. They also have a bottle of Brooklyn Black Ops for $40 that's been on the shelf for almost a year now.

Paying that kind of money for any of those is like taking a stroll down

Just sent messages to the Breweries asking what the suggested retail is for each beer. Pretty sure Bois is $29.99 but don't know about the rest.

    Westy 12 for $99.99 a bottle.

A store nearby has Heady Topper at $15 a can.

Check Total Wine in Alexandria. I have found them to be one of the cheapest places around and seem to be very spot on when it comes to suggested retail.

Unless that beer is VERY well aged and personally poured by Saint Sixtus monks over naked virgins into the Holy Grail itself, that place is nucking futs.

I guess I should have added "Tell me the most ridiculous price you've seen" to the original post.

I do 99% my shopping at Total Wine McLean or Laurel. MoCo can eat a D___

    Worst gouge ever.

And I doubt they are legally allowed to be selling either. Hope their license get taken away. Considering I have 2 cases of HT coming from VT for pickup this weekend at $13/4-pack the $15/can is crazy!

Sadly Bois is probably the most "reasonable", as $35ish is a common street price on the east coast.

Those Uinta prices are just stupid - those beers linger forever at $12-$14.

ISO - VERY well-aged Westy 12, personally poured by Saint Sixtus monks over naked virgins into the Holy Grail.
FT - Reasonably well-aged Rochefort 10, personally poured by beer geeks over naked strippers into a beer glass of your choice.

I've always found Arrogant Bastard being available for less than $6 in a bomber is incredibly awesome. Stone has always been priced lower than the quality of their beer, which is awesome.

Also, Neshaminy Creek sells their bombers for under $5 and they make a quality IPA, Hefeweizen, Tripel and Dunkleweizen for that price.

That's amazing. Still a couple I've seen here in South Jersey for the same price as when it came out.

I always wonder, when people see these prices, do they call out the retailer in the store? I don't because I am a pansy, but I always want to say "hey, guy! Your beer is overpriced to a ludicrous level! Why are you such a dick?"
