    Go here:

They're right outside Base Camp...I'll keep my thoughts on BC to myself for the time being. It's a buck or two higher than average, but it's awesome - Israeli street food done by a bona fide Israeli.

Check out Big-Ass Sandwiches in the "Super Pod" on SE 2nd (Just across the River from OBF) They frequently serve Hopworks beer on Saturdays. Also, if you want to get outside the city for a day and try some tasty beers, Two Kilts brewing in Sherwood (in Oregon Wine Country, a nice way to get the non-beer drinking Mrs. to go) makes some really nice beers.

I'll be visiting tomorrow - will probably hit up one bar/tasting room and one bottle shop (it's not just a beer trip).

I'm mostly looking to grab some things I can't get in Seattle. Any suggestions? I'd love to pick up some bottles of Ale Apothecary - is it available anywhere right now? Would also like to try some de Garde. Other than that, completely open to suggestions.

At Belmont Station a couple of days ago I picked up an Upright Flora, Breakside Bourbon Astec, Some Crux stuff, Double Mountain Cluster and a month old Pliny. Don't understand why they had a limit one on the Pliny & were hiding it when it's so old. You would think they would be pushing it out (bottle date 6/26 purchased on 7/25)

Saraveza had 4 de Garde beers on last night so you might want to check there.

Ale Apothecary is definitely around, Beermongers probably has some, and I think they also have Ba Flora, which is delicious.

One bottle limit is standard at Belmont for Pliny, and it always goes in a couple of days no matter what. I don't think most people even look at the bottle date. I'm cool with the limit, especially around OBF so any out of towers who might want to grab a bottle have a better chance. Also, it's always in that cooler because its the correct cooler for it, and there is a hanging sign on the window of the cooler identifying it. I really don't think they are trying to hide it.

I'm all for the bottle limit too. I'm just used to seeing fresher bottle dates. I didn't see a sign. They guy helping me pointed out it was in cooler 10 bottom row with the label deliberately facing in. You pretty much had to know it is there. I do now and I'm fine with that.

Those bottles arrived on Tuesday and we put them on sale immediately, just like we always do. If they're a month old when we receive them it's certainly not our doing.

I hope my comments didn't come across as critical. Casual observation. Belmont Station is a civic treasure. I am glad I had a chance to snag one and just finished it a few minutes ago. Tasted just fine

It's cool. I just didn't want anyone to get the impression that we were stashing it for some reason.

I'm going to Portland for about 5 days 4 weeks from now. I'm already planning to visit Cascade, Deschutes and HotD. Is there anywhere else that I should visit that I'm missing? Any suggestions will help, thank you!

This was an original post I made, after not finding this thread in the Pacific Northwest Forum. The Mods moved my OP to this thread, that's why it doesn't make sense. I thank the guy who did this thread, it's awesome.

Since, I'm already replying though, are there more sour inspired breweries in Portland besides Cascade?

Commons Brewing (taproom, bottles, and draft) and De Garde (draft) are probably your best bets, I don't think Upright has any sours out right now but that could change in 4 weeks so keep an eye out.

Likewise, keep an eye out for beers from Logsdon and Block 15 as well. The latter brewery makes a lot of different beers, most of which aren't sour, but the sours they do make, tend to be pretty highly regarded (golden canary, cuvee rouge, etc.)
