This works out incredibly well for me, as the gf and I were already planning on making the trip down to the city to see my mother's new apartment conveniently located a few blocks from Goose Island. We'll probably grab our bottles and then leave, although I'll be trying my hardest to tempt her into having a drink there. If you see a manchild in some New Glarus gear feel free to say wuddup.

WAIT: so someone from WI is coming to Chicago to take for himself a precious local commodity, then abruptly leaving?

I don't know that I care for this change in current.

Fortunately for me I was born and raised in Chicago, I think my 21 years of living and working there entitles me to a few Goose bottles

I hope there are bottles left when I leave work...

Ok, let's be realistic, there won't be :slight_frown:

I actually work in the health insurance field, and I have the opposite problem.

Great! The hype train on this beer keeps rollin. Probably explains why theres people with tents set up outside the brewpub right now.

I can personally attest that there are no campers at Clybourn right now.

If one planned on getting there around 9-930, do you guys think that'll be too late?

I am going to show up around 10 and work in line for an hour or whatever it takes. Are 360 people going to line up at 9am on a workday for one bottle? That seems crazy to me, even for Chicago. I have to imagine that as much as we all love beer, our jobs are more important to us than that, and this isn't a situation where people are hanging out and sharing bottles and having a great time on a Saturday morning. But I could definitely be wrong!

I'll be sad if it is. I don't know if anyone has much to compare to in terms of limited, brewery only Chicago releases occurring on a week day.

I agree. It's just days like last week at FFF when Zombie Dust was back in stock where there was about 50 people in line before they even opened. Shit is crazy. I'm fortunate that I have a job meeting at noon so it works out with my schedule.

I might be able to get there at noon. If anyone going early can report in as to whether or not its worth a try at that time that'd be much appreciated, especially since I'm traveling from west burbs.

Showing up at lunch, if there's more then a hundred of you in line, I'm going home (after i get a bowl of veggie chili). Ill take my job and life over taking a half day or wasting three hours for one bottle of beer. If that beer was made by cantillon, well maybe but for a decent to great BA Stout, not so sure. You know there's like a hundred BA stouts on tap throughout Chicago RIGHT NOW.

Poll - 100 BA lurkers by 10am or 200 BA lurkers by 10am?

    I'd set the over/under at 125.
