I have more than once sold my wife on the Marshalls and (to a lesser extent) Kohls that are in the same shopping area as DeCicco's. She likes beer, as well, but likes shopping more.

 

From the New Milford side, it is a trek to DeCiccos. I am on the New Fairfield side and it takes me about 15 minutes to get there.

As for HF on tap, keep your eyes open. It was happening fairly often in the fall/winter, but there were a of kegs floating around in NYC and Weschester. That seems to have dried up though. That being said, DeCicco's always has a solid selection on tap and lots of local options (Rushing Duck, Captain Lawrence, Newburgh, Peekskill, Bronx Brewery). Well worth the trip!!!

But then again, where else can you get a giant lit up cross on a hill!

 

How about awesome grocery store with decent prepared foods for a nice lunch with great beer and they have wine too...

Only 10 minutes beyond the Danbury Mall....

 

This is how I plan on selling it to my girlfriend next time we're passing by. Much more interesting than Kohls or Marshalls.

 

Just say...its almost like a whole foods - you shop and Ill be over here.

 

My wife is at the Danbury Mall way too often to use it as a draw to get to DeCicco's!
