Bean flicker is solid, I'd be interested to see how it tastes in a bottle

For some reason, I never tried it on draft, even though it's been on locally quite a bit lately.

However, don't wanna thread hijack. Mmmkay is great. Bitterness seems to hang out virtually forever, and the smell is just wonderful. Some fruity hoppiness comes out also. Shorts continually wins! (Except with spruce pilsner, was not a fan)

Heh heh, don't worry about thread hijacking--I think Bean Flicker is awesome.

About a minute ago, I just opened my first bottle of Mmmkay. I could drink lots of this. The aroma is out of this world.

Got my 6pk after work, thanks to Top Shelf in Belmont. This stuff is good. I agree, there is abundant bitterness and it lasts. Such a good beer, but maybe just out of my top 5 for Shorts releases so far this year.

Agreed, the bitterness does linger, but overall, it's another stellar brew from the best.

The nose on MmmKay reminds me a lot of Freedom of '78, but the taste is far from it, obviously a lot less guava-y.

A perfect beer to sit in the sun with on National IPA Day!

I'm sure this has been covered, and I'm a relatively new member of BA, but what bar do you work at?

I wasn't a huge fan of the Mmmkay myself, but I can see how others would be fans. Great aroma and upfront taste (amarillo?), but a little too piney/bitter on the back end for my tastes. Possibly one of the most flavorful lagers I've ever had though. Glad I tried it.

My brother and I have a bar in st Clair shores. It's called Boatworks. If you're ever in the area, let me know. I'd love to buy you a beer!

I can appreciate honesty. Not everyone will like every beer. That's what makes craft beer great, there's something for everyone!

I'm in metro Detroit, not too far from SCS. Will make a trip soon, seems like you get all the Shorts stuff on tap. Worth the drive.

We're huge shorts supporters. We always have a shorts beer on tap, and it's a fair price. We're working on a shorts greenbush event. Jon, Sean, & Brian have always bent over backwards for me, & I'm extremely grateful. May even do 2 more events w/ shorts before years end

Got a call from my bottle shop and fled immediately to pick up a case. Happy Camper. Sadly, I work midnights tonite, so I cannot enjoy one until tomorrow.

Totally worth a visit. My wife and I had dinner there a couple weeks ago and the food was great, and the ladies running the bar were so friendly, and of course, Spruce Pilsner was on tap. Can't wait to make it over there again.

I was pretty lucky with this release. I was able to pick up 3 6-packs. Hopefully the Shortscake release will be this easy.

Yeah this is a great beer both on tap and out of the bottle hoping there's one more six pack at the store later.
